Serves meat, vegan options available. Indian restaurant with vegetarian dishes on the menu and can make dishes vegan upon request. For example, will use potato for the cheese in paneer dishes, and coconut milk for cream sauces.

AMAZING - Edit
Khan, the owner, is so incredibly passionate about the food he serves. He wants everyone who comes in to get exactly what they want.
Read moreHe is a strong believer in quality food to energize and nourish the body. He is so eager to accommodate any diet including vegan and vegetarian.
When my boyfriend and I went in, he asked about what foods we liked. We mentioned we’re vegan and he immediately explained all the options we could have, ways to make things vegan, and all the specific ingredients they use to make the dishes suitable for vegans.
I was blown away. The food is absolutely delicious. By far, it is the best Indian/Pakistani food I’ve ever had. It’s a fantastic hidden gem in Baton Rouge. Khan and his restaurant truly deserve so much love and support from the community!
Pros: 90% of the menu can be made vegan , Flavor is out of this world , Khan is the nicest man in the world
Cons: NONE

Delicious FIVE STAR! - Edit
It deserves five stars because the owner/chef will make you anything on the menu Vegan. He cooks it separately so there is no chance of crossover accidents with dairy or meat. He is very knowledgeable about plant based meal preparation. The food was so delicious! We are putting this on our list of "must go to" when we are in Baton Rouge.

Cons: NONE!

We miss this place since we moved to DC. Sure, there are tons of options there but this place... this one is special. Make sure they know you want vegan food and they take care of the rest.

Best Indian/Pakastani Vegan in BR - Edit
Mr. Khan's respect for plant-based eating goes to the core of business -- he keeps a separate kitchen area for vegan/allergy-friendly food prep. He's very, very careful about ensuring *everything* brought to the table is vegan when you alert him to your needs -- from bread (which can sometimes contain eggs) to condiments (which can contain dairy), he makes sure you get only vegan food.
Read moreAt other places serving Indian food, you MUST worry about the use of ghee (clarified butter) in food prep. Not here! The food is also far less greasy than other local Indian restaurants.
The vegan-friendly options go beyond the food -- this restaurant offers a magnificent, luscious chai, as well as mango lassi, with coconut milk. Just specify when you order.
I also love that they adjust the spiciness according to preference. We love spicy food, and when we specify that's what we want, that's exactly what we get.
They cook food only when it's ordered, so it can take a while to get your order. If you're in a hurry, call or text your order before you get there, and it will be ready upon arrival.

Wow factor - Edit
This is a small restaurant tucked just a little off of Sherwood Forest on Coursey (next to The Vineyard). I adore Indian food since I first discovered it and have been to nearly every Indian place in town. The food at Curry-N-Kabab is the best I have had and vegan to boot. They make a vegan Vegetable Korma with coconut milk that is out of this world good. They also have excellent vegan lassi drinks! The owner, Mr. Kahn, is a true gentleman and gets to know his regulars. This is the only place we go now for Indian food.

Cons: Also serves meat, but who doesn't in Baton Rouge
