really enjoyed it! - Edit
i was looking forward to getting curry leaves for so long because they have a large fully vegan menu. i ended up getting takeout tofu masala (came with a side of rice) and samosas. the samosas were amazing, the chutney sauce was also good but almost had a balsamic vinegar taste to it. the tofu masala was very good, but was a little heavy on the tomato paste which muted some of the other flavors. tofu wasn’t fried which i appreciate!

Rare vegan options in west Tampa - Edit
After a few days in Tampa bay, began to appreciate the mere presence of vegan options in a menu, and Curry Leaves had loads.
Read moreMulligatawny soup was quite splendid. Samosas average. Channa Masala was huge portion and though at first really good, but then recognised the characteristic butter back taste of the Standard Curry Sauce made with mechanically processed onions.
It seems part of a BP station, but it’s a real restaurant, popular with local Indian expats, and good service.
Pros: They have a vegan menu!, Mulligatawny soup, Not as popular as it would be if not at BP pumps
Cons: Watch out for the standard curry sauce

Food is fantastic! - Edit
I’ve eaten here many times. If you let the server know you are vegan they walk you through the menu. I actually felt special! This place is the best I’ve had in the Tampa area!

Amazing! Don’t let gas station fool you! - Edit
This place is absolutely amazing. My non veg dad has eaten here a thousand times, always tells me about how great it is. He referenced it was in a gas station so I was thinking it was a dump, it’s totally not. The Inside is clean and the staff is so friendly and stated so clearly everything I could eat down to the condiments. I was so impressed. The menu is clearly labeled. The food is divine. My family that is not vegetarian loved it. There is out door seating, for those who are still uncomfortable with indoor dining. Do it. You won’t be disappointed. Another note is we called ahead saying we were going to show up a half hour before closing to make sure we were not going to be disrespectful. I think 4 parties came in after us. The place was doing great, they had to come around and say “ last round” I love that they are so successful.

The undersold and over delivered - Edit
I honestly was extremely close to passing them because they are literally connected to a gas station and I wasn’t thrilled about that. But I was hungry and it was a long day. Decided to give it a try. Holy cow was that a great decision. This place was amazing. I found my new favorite for when I’m in tampa.

Wow! Best Indian food I’ve ever had. - Edit
This place is amazing! I can’t believe it took me so long to go. This is the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The service is great and the portions are large. I will go back as often as possible! Large vegan section in menu.

Excellent veggie Indian - Edit
The location is not great, attached to a gas station and shares one outdoor keyed bathroom. Also the restaurant is very dark. Having said that, the food and service were amazing! I would easily go back. Vegetarian sections in both the appetizer and entree sections.

Very good traditional vegetarian Indian - Edit
Quite a few dishes to choose from which were vegan, even appetizers. My wife and I had the masala dosa. I also had the mulligatawny soup. For dinner we had the aloo gobi which is a favorite of mine and Manglorean vegetables, vegetables simmered in a coconut sauce. We forgot to ask for mild but the dishes weren't extremely hot although they were very flavorful. Everything we tried was excellent. The aloo gobi was some of the best I've tasted. The Manglorean vegetables was a nice change too as the only vegan dishes at a omnivore Indian restaurant are usually chana masala and aloo gobi. The staff were very accommodating in telling us what was vegan and also double checked with cook without us even asking. If we lived in the Tampa Bay area we'd be here often. Very good experience. I would give it 5 cows if I could.
