Avoid. Food tastes good but limited options and poor service. - Edit
So many other options in town so don't waste your time or money. First off, staff was rude and seemed put upon that we were there. Second, there weren't too many vegan options. Third, they staggered our food, where our party of six was served all at different times, far apart from each other. Fourth, servings were dinky, and more like side dishes.

And what's the deal with the Cuban-themed restaurant for Thai food? I love Cuban food and culture but when I want Thai food, it's odd to have Cuban decor and music.
Pros: Food isn't half bad tasting
Cons: Rude staff, Tiny portions, Staggered service

!!!WARNING!!! Chef doesn't know what vegan means - Edit
Caution! The chef has no idea what vegan means. And even though they tell you anything can be made vegan, I believe they think it's just subbing meat for tofu and not worrying about other ingredients. We went there based on previous Happy Cow reviews saying most of their menu could be made vegan, the server confirmed.
Read moreWe specifically ordered Drunken Noodles with tofu and also asked to make sure both of our dishes to be made vegan.
We received the drunken noodles first, took a bite and realized that there was egg bits throughout the whole dish. I brought it up to the server and the chef and the chef rudely said, you should have said "no egg".
I told him we asked for it to be made vegan, he said it doesn't mean anything and I should still say "no egg". At that point it made clear he has absolutely no idea what vegan means and also rude about it. We left before the second dish even came out.

The best!!! - Edit
Probably one of the best Thai places I’ve ever been to. Easy to find vegan options as Thai food usually is. Yellow curry was delicious, if you’re looking for low sodium go for the steamed veggies and fresh rolls. Would give five stars if I could! Chef is super nice, place is super cute on cute street. If you’re a vegan in Astoria, check it out! 🍛

Cozy and delicious! - Edit
The staff here was super friendly, the couple that owns the joint were working in the kitchen and the Thai dishes were delicious. There’s great decor and it’s very cozy. We didn’t have the Cuban cuisine, since we weren’t there on a Thursday. That menu, at a glance didn’t look very vegan and I’m not sure if/how they accommodate vegans when serving their Cuban food, so it might be worth checking in before coming on a Thursday. Any other day I would absolutely recommend trying Curry and Coco. It was delicious and felt like a little gem to come across!

Cons: Not 100% vegan , Not sure about Cuban food
