Wouldn't go back - Edit
Quite a disappointing visit as our vegan afternoon tea was clearly not made to the same standard as the non vegan one. Everything was much smaller and not made with much care. The sandwiches were made with gluten free bread even though we eat gluten and the meat afternoon tea has sandwiches with normal bread. The sandwiches themselves were torn/crumbling in places and the fillings weren't well spread so you'd get a blob in the middle with most of the bread dry. Our sweet things were all gluten free too and several items were very under baked so doughy inside. There was no cream or even margerine with the scones. The soy milk was really bad and went weird in a breakfast tea. It all felt quite stingy and careless so I left hungry when I usually struggle to finish an afternoon tea.

Lovely modern tea - Edit
I had the afternoon tea, which was quite nice. It’s a slightly more modern, less traditional setting. There was a little bit of mix-up in the items, but the staff was very helpful and it all got sorted. Everyone was very attentive.

In the online booking we specified veggie and vegan guests so arrived to find the special menus laid out for us.

Lovely selection on the tea stand. Particularly loved the sweet treats including meringues for the chocolate fondue!

Disappointing afternoon tea - Edit
Went for afternoon tea with a friend and found it a bit disappointing. The sandwiches were a bit dry and fillings were a bit unimaginative. I didn't finish the cakes as they were a bit too sweet for me. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day.
