Ask for the vegetarian menu - Edit
I went there with a friend and her menu missed the page with vegetarian options, so make sure to ask for it if yours misses it too.
Read moreWe both had what they call the national dish: cassava, yam, green banana, corn and some more veg. The waiter said they grown their own produce. It was fairly simple, but the natural flavors of the vegetables made it good. I had papaya juice and it was super tasty.
The waiter was very polite.
The place itself is in a super touristy area, and you feel it in the atmosphere. The music could definitely be better, in the beginning it was muzak, but just before we left they played Cesaria Evora.

They don’t have any vegetarian or vegan options on the menu. They friendly offered us vegan pasta with vegetables. We got bread with nonvegan! garlic butter as a welcome gesture like everyone. The vegetables were awful!! Ready-made iglo vegetables so nothing special, no taste at all. There was no sauce just the vegetables and pasta without salt or any other seasoning.

Vegan Option, if you ask for it😄 - Edit
They had no vegan or vegetarian option on the menu anymore, but after we asked for it, we became some Pasta with vegetables. It was very good and the price was okay (expensive for cape verdian standards, but normal for Touristik/ European Standards). We got some fruits for Desert, so we were very happy afterwords.

The staff didn’t even try to be nice and helpful. I ordered “vegetarian pasta” which was vegan, it was tasteless and vegetables in it was over cooked.

Good food - Edit
My partner and me had the vegan burger and shared the “Feijoada” bean stew. Comes usually with meat, so make sure to ask for vegetables instead. Also mention that the rice should not be served with butter. Tourist prices, but we were super full after so I’d say good value for money.
