Omg - Edit
Omg this place is amazing! My husband loved his nachos! I absolutely loved the eggplant! One of the best eggplant dishes I've had! And their cheese on the eggplant is so smooth and creamy and delicious! The po boy sandwich, rigatoni, and peri peri fries were all delicious as well. We live in Brooklyn but will definitely be returning!!

Date Night Approved - Edit
My non-vegan husband took me here for a date night and oh my god, it was amazing! I haven't had vegan food this great since living in Brooklyn, NY. I highly recommend everything on the menu. We got the nacho cheese tray, mushroom calamari, eggplant Napoleon, and the not-so-chicken sandwich. He can't even wait to come back.

Cultivate has a multi cuisine menu and we really enjoyed the variety we shared at our table - loaded nachos, eggplant napoleon and the khao suey! Also, the portion sizes were very generous! Didn’t have room for dessert but will definitely go back to try some!

Modern and delicious - Edit
The look of the restaurant is great. It feels very open, casual, and new. It isn't overly upscale but also isn't a dive.
Read moreThe system to order at the table via the QR code was so easy to use. It automatically selects the table you scan and it shows their whole menu. You order food to a tab and can place orders for snacks, meals, sides, desserts, drinks and everything. I was very peopled out and being able to just sit and scan and not have to make small talk with anyone was really nice after a hard day. I also love the control of timing my food like I could order my meal or dessert first or together or separately.
That all being said the people who work here do come over and check on you periodically to make sure you have everything you need.
The quality of the food is fantastic! I had the Napoleon Eggplant, fries, and a creme brulee. It all was so fresh and made to order. I also liked all the customization of food available. You could order bigger portions or smaller or add stuff or leave it off.
Amazing restaurant and I will have to come here again!
Pros: The app, The food, The huge portions

My new favorite in NJ - Edit
Nice ambiance, clean, open, airy and cozy. Convenient parking. Portions are good size. I wanted to try everything from the menu! I need to come back many times. The Not a Chicken Sandwich was probably the best vegan chicken sandwich that I have ever had, crispy, delicious, and fresh. The chocolate peanut butter tart is beautiful and creamy. I took home the chocolate and walnut cookies and I loved it!

The eggplant was so tender it melted in my mouth. The fried mushroom appetizer had the best honey mustard dipping sauce. The chef came out and talked to us about all his tasty foods!

Hidden gem with delicious food!! - Edit
Found this restaurant on Happy Cow. The food was ahhhhmazing. I ordered the sheet pan nachos (excellent), buffalo chicken sandwich (excellent), crispy fried shrooms (excellent) and the walnut, chocolate chip cookies. The, "Buffalo not a chicken sandwich" was probably the best I've had. The cookies were baked to order. They were so darn good. I can't wait to go back.

Perfection - Edit
Fried oyster mushrooms are out of this world! (And I’m not normally crazy about fried stuff) Buffalo chicken Sammy with a little side basket of fries with killer spice mix and a special that involved greens with walnuts and tomatoes. Excellent sauces too. All great! Then a fresh baked batch of chocolate chip cookies for dessert! Never seen fresh baked cookies on a menu like that before.

So stunning... - Edit
We all know that the first impressive milestone any eatery can achieve is to "pass", but that the real gold standard is to rise above and achieve culinary splendor. This comfort food focused menu is so deftly maneuvered and so lovingly prepared that there is nothing left to want. I'm floored by the attention to details in every single ingredient. The wait is worth every second...

Perfect fried items - Edit
I luckily got to stop at Cultivate unexpectedly during a long drive after wanting to make a trip here for a few weeks.
Read moreI got takeout and the packaging was good and the online ordering was set up well with lots of modification options, which is helpful.
The fried oyster mushrooms were awesome - perfectly fried with no odd flavors in the coating. The sauces were good but not my favorite flavors.
The chicken sandwich used Tindle fake chicken, which I've never had before. Again, the batter/dredge/whatever you call it was perfect. I only tried a small piece of the "chicken" and it seemed pretty chickeny (with that slight sulfur taste that chicken has) - my trying to be vegetarian family member enjoyed it. The fries were the thin McD style.
I really liked the Eggplant Napoleon - not the most flavorful I've had but there was nothing wrong with it - if anything, the creamy part could use a tweak with flavor and maybe texture (some tanginess could be added with lactic acid).
I also ordered the linguine to sort of go with the eggplant - that was the only dish I didn't care for. I liked the spiciness, but the slight sweetness and other flavors in the sauce weren't for me. That being said, it was Nduja-inspired (Calbrian spicy spreadable sausage), and I've never had nduja, so maybe it was imitating that flavor? I actually didn't finish it and I love pasta.
The place is cute - a room that is not too crowded that is decorated like the decor came from an Anthropologie furniture outlet (velvety, gold accents but with clean lines). Staff was nice, order was fast, parking out front. The passion fruit drink was great. I like how the menu has various international options and was pleasantly surprised that they seem to be executed well. I appreciate what the owner is doing - clearly a lot of thought was put into this venture.
I look forward to going back the next time I'm on the Parkway.

OMG Amazing! - Edit
I cannot believe this food is so good. We got the not chicken sandwiches for takeout. They were so mind numbingly good we went to the restaurant the next day. We got the fried oyster mushrooms, nachos, chicken and waffles, eggplant, blueberry waffle, and chocolate chip cookies. Even my (picky) kids were raving about how delicious EVERYTHING is. I am so excited to try more from here. I suspect they can do no wrong.

Great space&food - Edit
I really liked it, will def go back. It’s a great space, would work well also to rent out for events like an engagement party. My whole life I’ve been scared to try coconut curry (I don’t like coconut) but I finally tried it and it was good. Omni spouse got the chicken&waffles sandwich, he liked it.
