I had an amazing experience at Cuchara Llena. From the moment I walked in, the vibe of the place just captured me. You can really feel the local community’s presence, which makes it even more special. I ordered a vegan dish that surprised me with its fresh and well-combined flavors—every bite was a feast! Plus, the staff was super friendly and attentive, always ready to recommend the best on the menu. I’ll definitely be going back again and again. You can’t miss it! 🌱✨

Nice food but slow service - Edit
The food was nice (though not mind blowing) with generous portions. The vibes were very relaxed. It took more than 30mins for us to get our drinks and an hour for our mains which was fine as weren’t in a rush. There were only two people working front and back of house and they were working so hard for the two tables that were occupied so I hope they get some more help soon!

Extensive menu, open on Sundays as well - Edit
We had to wait a little to get served, but in their defense a group of around 20 people entered right before us, so that was to be expected. Cosy seating area upstairs.

Not worth it - Edit
Im not sure if this is the same place as it was pre-covid, but we went two people and were thoroughly disappointed. We ordered a juice and tea to start. The juice arrived 50 minutes later. The tea never came.
Read moreThe food we had was basically brown rice with vegetables stir fried and drowning in bad cooking oil. The other dish was almost identical but equally saturated soya.
Our food came over an hour after we ordered and both of us feel kinda nauseas after eating.
The service however was nice and very friendly.
Perhaps the cook had a bad day. But seeing as the menu had 2 options which are basically the same, there is no recommendation from here.
Pros: Nice service, cozy location, outside seating
Cons: Bad quality food, long waiting time, expensive

Great pasta - Edit
The first thing that hits you about this place is its amazing location on the river, with a stunning view of the ruins. It also has a great atmosphere with swinging seats, a fire and pool table.
Read moreI found the menu a little confusing in terms of what was vegan, so went for a spicy spaghetti dish which I could see was definitely OK (I fancied pasta anyway). The service was friendly but a bit slow (although I may have just been very hungry!).
Pros: Beautiful view, Cool atmosphere, Tasty food
Cons: Slow service, Slightly confusing menu

Meh - Edit
Didn't love my quinoa burger. The dish served was a bland salad of lettuce and tomato, not good fries, and two quinoa patties which had a weird texture. I was expecting a burger, you know, in a bun.

Delicious food. - Edit
I ate here a few times. Outstanding view straight to the ruins. The people here are lovely. Food served in reasonable time-not rushed. This is a very relaxing environment. The food was delicious each time. So good to have such a great menu for vegan as well as vegetarian choices. Open late too. With wifi.

Best veg place in Ollantay - Edit
The place is beautiful. Nice and calm music playing in the background. I had the tarwi salad and it was on point. The Spaghetti Stroganoff were good but not perfect. The dessert of the day was also vegan and quite special. Can't remember what it was made from other than Yuca. For a veg place it's not too pricy either.

Incredible menu, delicious food, stellar atmosphere & view - Edit
Cuchara Llena was tucked away and opened into a spectacular space with a priceless view of the neighborhood and local ruins. The service was kind and accommodating. The food was fresh, unique, satisfying. I look forward to returning and highly recommend dining there.

Amazing find in Ollantaytambo! - Edit
This place was literally 30 seconds walk from our accommodation. Whilst the town catered very well for veggies and vegans it was great to find this place that catered solely for the enlightened ;)
Read moreHad a very tasty quinoa soup and then mushrooms in traditional sauce with a fantastic smoky flavour, served with baked yuca. Lovely location with outdoor fire.
Way better than some tourist trap that has added the word vegan to their blackboard in the last 6 months!
Pros: Great location and lots if unusual dishes
Cons: None!

Sure friendly staff. Awesome food and the view is spectacular. I had the potatoes dipped in a sauce made with yellow chillies, nuts and coconut milk and lightly spiced lemonade.

Amazing Food/View/Staff!!!!! - Edit
I didn't expect to find such a hidden vegan gem in a small Peruvian town but this is it! The food was so good, the view was unbelievable, and the staff, oh my, the staff, were some of the friendliest people I met in Peru. I went twice in one day because it was that amazing. You gotta make a stop in Ollantaytambo just to eat here!

Opciones veganas y sin gluten - Edit
Hermosa atmósfera, con fueguito encendido y un swing de madera. Linda vista. Muchas opciones veganas y sin gluten. Preguntar siempre pues algunas salsas tienen lácteos o huevos. Excelente pasta.
