Serves meat, vegan options available. A character buffet restaurant where guests have the opportunity to eat while being visited by four characters from A. A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh stories. Some of the plant based options, though on the menu, are not placed out on the buffet and must be ordered. For example, an eggless florentine is available at breakfast. Other items, such as the breakfast potatoes and oatmeal are on the buffet. They were also labeled as plant based, not containing meat, dairy, or honey. An online guide listing all of the plant based options at WDW, including the Crystal Palace, can be found at: disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/plant-based/#/drawer=drawerPlantBasedMK

Lots of Lunch Options!

There are buffets on Disney property that don’t have many options, but Crystal palace definitely did! I went for an early lunch, so there were some breakfast offerings left too. Not every option was created equally, the cold options were not my favorite flavor wise, but the hot dishes and dessert were great! If you want to meet the Pooh characters, give it a go, you will be taken care of!

Pros: Labeled vegan options

A fun, but costly experience

The Crystal Palace, located in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, is a character buffet where you can dine with Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger. As WDW has begun to emphasize plant based dining options the available selections have become easier to identify. You can see this in the brochure WDW has at the park entry (they will also give you a copy in the restaurant), as well as their online guide. Many of the vegan options on the buffet were identified as not containing meat, dairy, honey, etc.

It is important to note that not all plant based options are available on the buffet. One breakfast option was an eggless florentine. This required having the Cast Member (i.e., server) place a special order with the kitchen. For those who might want to make several trips to the buffet, it limits the choices for seconds (though, I'm sure you could place a second order, it does take time).

Like much of Disney Dining, the cost can seem a bit high especially given the limited choices for a buffet. However, if you're choosing to eat here it is more for the experience of dining with the characters than the food itself.

Pros: Dining with Winnie the Pooh and Friends, Nice environment

Cons: Relatively expensive for a buffet, Some plant based options must be ordered
