Every aspect of this restaurant is quality. The food, the ambience, the service! - Edit
The vegan menu here is beyond tasty. Plant based ingredients and gluten free options, they offer an array choices that keep you coming back. There is nothing boring or bland about the food here. I highly recommend the Bolognese, it is divine.

A fantastic vegan restaurant! - Edit
For me, this is a special occasion restaurant because it is a bit expensive, but it is so worth the money if you can manage it.
Read moreEverything was vegan and there were many gluten-free options as well. The presentation of the food was beautiful and the atmosphere was friendly, comfortable, and lively. The servers were friendly and easily answered any questions that we had.

Always amazing - Edit
Crossroads have a fantastic 100% vegan menu with items like the stand out "chicken" and waffles (my favorite) they also have a great selection of drinks, and the service is fantastic. Be sure to book a table if possible as they are ALWAYS busy, especially at brunch

This was a transcendent experience - Edit
Every single item that touched my lips from the almond based charred ricotta, to the refreshing mezcal based cocktails, was an enrapturing sensory experience. The aesthetics, the smell, the texture, the ambience, and robust and experimental flavors simultaneously transported me into bliss and grounded me in hedonistic bodily joy. The service, the seating, the decor, the menu, the location, the parking - I could not ask for more. I am extremely frugal, but would absolutely save to experience this again. It is worth it.

Fine Dining Vegan - Edit
The hype is real. Date night, spur of the moment, celebration meal - you don’t need an excuse to go to Crossroads and experience their elegance. Some of the most creative and non-vegan vegan food I’ve ever eaten. I don’t want to ruin it for anyone, just go… please!

Delicious! - Edit
I don’t know what to say other than everything was perfection. Absolutely delicious. It was pricey but we went for a special occasion and it was so nice to have a fancy dinner out at a beautiful vegan restaurant. The staff were wonderful. The food was delicious. Everything was just perfect.

All-Time Favorite Vegan Restaurant - Edit
I went to this restaurant for the first time recently, and have gone back 2 more times since, just because I love it so much. It’s pretty expensive, but if you’re willing to spend the money it’s definitely worth the visit.
Read moreThe staff recommends 2-3 plates per person, and I’ve found that 2 plates per person is always enough.
I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve had here, but my top recommendations would be the artichoke oysters and the truffle mushroom bianca pizza.
The inside seating can be a bit noisey, but it’s a really cozy interior.

So yum - Edit
All vegan and all delicious. We ordered 5 dishes and shared them all. In order of yum: chicken and waffles, breakfast burrito, Caesar salad, eggs Benedict, cheese platter. Everything was delicious, vegans and non vegans all enjoyed. If you are looking for healthy, whole food, plant based options, perhaps this menu is not for you. Although the salad was delicious, but that may be the only whole food option I saw. Otherwise, it is a bit of vegan junk food (ie impossible burger, just egg, etc) but so delicious. Well worth the visit. Friendly staff.

super disappointed - Edit
I hate writing negative reviews, but I must in this case. I was visiting from CO and wanted to try the famous Crossroads Kitchen. I took a couple of friends there for lunch last week. Wow. I don't know if it was the pandemic or what is going on with this restaurant, but it was such a disappointment. First, the reliance on Impossible meat. There is nothing innovative about this. I had to search around for a dish that didn't use the Impossible meat. We had 2 appetizers that tasted okay - buffalo cauliflower and squash blossoms. Our main dishes were "meh." Super underwhelming. Portions were small or boringly presented. The tempeh was very dry and lacked flavor. The chicken waffles were boring. Nothing seemed particularly fresh. We did enjoy the strawberry-rhubarb dessert. I hope that if this restaurant stays in business that it kicks it up a notch. I can't believe that this is the food that made it so famous. I definitely would not recommend it and will not return again.

Good for non-vegan friends and family - Edit
My non-vegan hubby loved this place. Me, not so much. There is a heavy reliance on meat replacement products and recipes rather than a fresh approach incorporating fruits, vegetables, spices.

Phenomenal food - Edit
What a great experience. I always like it when we find an actual dinner reataurant for vegans, not lunch or fast food, they are so rare. This place is pretty expensive though since you have to select 2-3 plates per person. We did that but then couldn’t finish our mains.. ao I don’t know.

Luxury Vegan - Edit
We wanted to check this restaurant out for a birthday dinner but upon arrival we found it excessively noisy, the prices excessively high and we were seated at a table with the view of a wall full of bottles of alcohol. Not really a place I personally would enjoy for dinner. So we only had dessert (which was tasty but tiny) and coffee and had dinner at another vegan restaurant more of our liking.

Great service cool staff - Edit
Any place with a cheese board is tops to me. One of the best vegan Ceasars in LA (add avocado). Spectacular cocktails and plentiful desserts. I don’t consider Impossible products vegan myself, so it would be rad if they used any brand but Impossible. Or really take it high class and make their own patties. Price is way too high for quality of food. Food is great! But Grain Cafe great, not 5 star great.

Crossroads - Edit
Last visited in late 2019. I've been to Crossroads several times and have neglected to review this restaurant until now. If you go during the evening, I'd suggest dressing up a little bit. Otherwise, you might feel out of place. I'm not big on this, but I've seen several celebrities here over the years (such as that cat whisperer guy with the interesting beard)...so if this is your thing...
Read moreThe best things on their menu (for me) have always been the kale caesar and their lasagnas. The contents of the lasagna seem to change each time I visit but they're always made with Kite Hill vegan cheese and are always pretty superb. Someone next to me last night got a truffle pasta that smelled so good I was wishing I had tried that too. You can't go wrong here.

YOU HAVE TO COME HERE - Edit
Best vegan restaurant meal I’ve ever had. We got the oysters and zucchini blossoms for apps, mushroom Bianca pizza, tag-Bolognese, and carbonara then cannoli for dessert and we shared. Everything was out of this world except the carbonara which I thought was ok but didn’t have as interesting a flavor profile as the rest (AKA bland). Still, for a HUGE meal for two at a really nice place with two glasses of wine it was $150 which I felt was more than worth the food, ambiance, and experience. Great covid protocols too, outdoor dining, all staff wore masks properly, and big heaters to fight back the evening LA chill. I wish I could rate this place higher

Up with the best of them - Edit
I have been the best vegan restaurants in the world and Crossroads is definitely up there with the best of them. I'll start with the best and understand this is a pre-covid review. The consistency of the food is near perfection. Outside of a dish or two, everything is the same. The strongest part of the menu is the entree section and specifically the pastas. The Tagliatelle Bolognese is crazy good as is the Carbonara. The fake egg on the Carbonara is truly a work of art. The Scallopini Parm is top notch. And so is the meatball pizza. Outside of the entrees, the Truffle Potatoes are really strong. The artichoke Oysters are spectacular! The charred ricotta is as well. Additionally, the interior is great. The dining lives around the bar. We never go there on Thursday through Sunday nights though because it is so crowded and drunk people standing around the bar end up with their [censored] in your meal. We go early on Monday through Wednesday nights and it is the best.
Read moreThere are no salads that stand out compared to how great the entrees are. If you had to pick a best, it would be the Caesar or the Watermelon. The vegetable situation is weird as they always seem to go for Okra, Rapini, Broccolini and ones that are off the beaten path. The wine selection is fantastic.
The negatives would start with the lunch menu. It's small and nothing really spectacular. There is an impossible burger, but you can get that at Vons. The brunch menu has a few amazing dishes on it. The Khachapuri is absolutely really good.
The servers seem like a cut above. I would give it a 5-star, but I am saving those for Vedge, Planta, Little Pine, Millenium, etc.
Pros: Food consistency, Restaurant build out
Cons: Lunch menu , Salads and vegetables , Too much processed food

Fancy italian restaurant - Edit
High end restaurant with a seasonal vegan menu. Their carbonara is probably their most impressive dish. It's presented the traditional Italian way with a unpopped egg yolk that you pop and stir into the hot pasta right before you eat. The egg is made of a yellow tomato! And it pops like the real thing. Their appetizers are great, and my little 13 year old brother was impressed by their salad. I tried their $75 truffle pasta dish and it didn't really live up to the price tag but it was still good.

I've been to vegan restaurants all over the world. This is my new favorite.

Nothing was traditional. I felt like I was at a Master Chef episode, with flavors exploding in my mouth with each bite. Truly unique.
The butternut squash pizza is incredible. The gluten free dough tastes like regular dough. The zucchini blossoms are not to be missed.
The chicken scallopini tasted like chicken. Weird and not so good with me, but my friend loved it.
Waitstaff very knowledgeable and attentive.

If you are in LA and haven’t been then you have to make that happen. Crossroads is breaking ground on what can be done in vegan fine dining and keeping their street cred at the same time. I’ve been here multiple times and I’ve never had anything that I would eat again a million times!

Did not disappoint - Edit
We loved everything about our experience at Crossroads. We made a reservation and were seated immediately. We ordered the kale salad, artichoke oysters, and impossible cigars to start. Everything was as expected. Although we did not get “oysters” from the app, the presentation was beautiful the artichoke was well cooked and seasoned.
Read moreFor the main dish we had lasagna and the homemade sausage. The lasagna was a good bowl of comfort - everything you want on a Sunday night at home in your PJs. The sausage was amazing!! I loved every bite. It came peppers and sauce, no noodles which at first seemed strange. However I soon realized it was best alone as the star of the show.
Wine choices were Folly of the Beast Pinot Noir and Daou cab. Both tasted very nice, I plan to find the Daou to add to my collection.
The staff here was very kind and friendly. Always attentive and quick to clear anything that was no longer needed. I look forward to visiting again.
Pros: The homemade sausage, Good variety on the menu, Full bar
