My favorite restaurant - Edit
I love Crossroads and love that they opened one at Calabasas which is close to where I live! We love their food, it is a on the fancier side but it is in LA so you can still show up in shorts and T shirt😁. They also serve brunch o the weekend and it is excellent! This time I ordered the break the fast and my wife ordered the truffle mushroom Bianca pizza. We usually take the French toast which is fantastic! We have been there many times and we always enjoy the food and the ambiance. The service is also exceptional! For those of you who are not from LA. This is one of the place where you may see a celebrity or two, Courtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are some of the inventors in that restaurant.

Great food but miniscule portions - Edit
Gotta love high class fancy vegan food. And this place is delicious.
Read moreBut the portions are minuscule!
I mean I don't mind paying $26 a plate if I got enough to fill me up. But no chance. So that means you have to also buy an appetizer (which are laughably tiny despite costing almost as much as an entree). And maybe you'll even need a dessert. My husband and I never walk out of there spending under $100 for the two of us.
Also, the Melrose location is super friendly but everyone working at the Calabasas location always seems so snooty.

So disappointed - Edit
I was extremely unsatisfied after dining at Crossroads. It was one of those experiences that leave a sour taste in your mouth when you depart.
Read moreRight from the start our waitress was snobby and rude to us. I do not recommend going if you are not willing to spend big money, because the staff will completely disregard you unless you are racking up your bill.
We had made reservations for dinner and had a big lunch prior to our reservations, so we were not terribly hungry. We do not drink alcohol, and did not have any desire to order an appetizer, which seemed to really bother our waitress. After ordering our entrees right away she was basically rushing us out of the restaurant. She did not bring us our food herself, and only checked on us when we asked to see a dessert menu. After we had gotten our dessert she brought the bill instantly and might as well have pushed us out of the door. Our reservation was for 6:15 and we were back in our car before 7:00pm.
As for the food, the $45 tortellini pasta dish I had ordered was not at all worth it. The portion was insanely small and pretty flavorless. The eggplant ribs were good, but nothing we would come back for.
Overall this was a very disappointing experience for us. It was apparent that unless you are wealthy with money to spend, the staff will not care about you, which is unfortunate.

What a bummer of an experience. I’ve been at this location several times and the service was positive. When they first opened they had some bumpy issues with service. I do agree they do need to up the value of their dishes to coincide with their prices.

Best Pasta I ever had (probably) - Edit
Their stuff is definitely not cheap but the homemade pasta was especially amazing. Could take or leave the starters/salads we tried (even tho they were fancy). Also had amazing coffee. Dessert was yummy but the pasta was the star. Really good service.

Mixed bag - Edit
Overpriced but generally very good. As others have said, the truffle fettuccine is too oily and needs salt; not a good look for $45. Good pizza, very nice radish salad and the eggplant short rib is pretty over the top.

Small portions and ok tastes - disappointed - Edit
I have been here three times in the past three months and am not coming back. There are limited menu items and many are lacking in flavor and originality - and the portions are tiny and it is super pricy. Some of the staff are snobby. I do love the stuffed squash flower.

Exquisite brunch! - Edit
It’s been a while since I’ve dined at Crossroads but now that this new location is easier to get to I had to try their brunch menu. We ordered the pancakes with blueberry compote and the stuffed french toast with mascarpone cream. Without a doubt the pancakes are some of the best vegan pancakes I have tasted. They were super fluffy, light and delicious. The french toast with mascarpone cream were incredibly flavorful and memorable.

A tasty treat - Edit
Admittedly, Crossroads is pretty expensive and the food portions are pretty small. They encourage people to share a few plates like tapas.
Read moreI really like their Foie Gras which is made with walnuts. Their eggplant short rib is very good and comforting. I’ve also previously tried their bolognese which is amazing and their calamari. They do a very good job making their calamari taste like squid from what I can remember.
I also tried their Fettuccine and Truffle pasta just to see how it is. It was tasty, but very oily. I’m not sure if the sauce was properly emulsified. Definitely NOT worth the MP which was $65 that day. Honestly, even if it was $20 you’re probably better off getting another pasta dish.
All in all, I do enjoy Crossroads as an occasional treat. The staff is very nice too from when I’ve been there.
Pros: Great service
Cons: Expensive

This place is a solid meh - Edit
I've been to this place so many times, because I live nearby and everyone who visits asks to go. Let me be clear: Crossroads is all in the name. The food, as any local will tell you, is never that great. It's all about the vibe, and who is going to be there. That's why there is always paps outside.
Read moreThis location is a bit bigger, but has roughly the same menu. Tiny, overpriced dishes, good service, and nice ambiance. Good for bringing parents in town, fine for a date, but not much for a meal.

Amazing. - Edit
Always loved the WeHo location, and I was so excited to learned they opened one in The Valley. Service was great. We had someone in our party with complicated dietary restrictions due to health issues, and our server was incredibly knowledgeable of ingredients and allergens. That was a big plus. The food was delicious as always, I can’t wait to come back. My favorites are the carbonara, the Bianca mushroom pizza, the stuffed zucchini blossoms, the poached pear and whipped “feta” appetizer, and the “short rib” eggplant. Yum yum yum. I could seriously order everything in the menu, lol. Even the cocktails were fantastic (the blackberry fields drink was so good). Only drawback was that we had a reservation but didn’t get seated until an hour later. We were able to get a bar top table to start with drinks and appetizers while we waited, so at least we didn’t have to wait outside. Highly recommend this place. Every time I go I am the only vegan, and my omni friends and family love it as much as I do. That speaks for the quality of the food. Not just “good for vegan,” but good-good.

Not worth the price - Edit
First time at this location after trying the one in Las Vegas (dinner both times). The stuffed zucchini blossoms, truffle potatoes, and artichoke hearts with the horseradish celery root purée were great, but everything else I’ve tried was disappointing. I was really excited to try “The Pear” dessert, but as I was eating it, I was literally thinking I’d rather be eating a $1 candy bar. Ordinarily, I’d probably skip this restaurant since I would consider it overpriced anyway, but I had a gift card, which they claimed they couldn’t accept because it was purchased from the Melrose location…if I had known this, I probably would’ve chosen a different restaurant

Date night. Drinks, food, and good company. - Edit
I don't have the pictures, but just take my word for it! So I've heard the hype of Crossroads due to Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian, and now there's a location in Calabasas.
Read moreThe outside windows are pitch black at night, so I kind of assumed the interior would be dark and more moody, but it wasn't. The inside was light, and the decor was unexpected. We ordered a couple of drinks at the bar while waiting for our reservation. I got a lemon and lavender martini ( I can't remember the name of the drinks!), and my mans got a matcha margarita type drink. Both drinks were great! Dangerous, maybe, but great. We later ordered espresso martinis, which were basic but also amazing.
Now for the food! We got the Figs & Feta as well as the Impossible Cigars to start. The figs were laid on top of a creamy feta spread along with toasted bread and the Impossible Cigars can easily be replicated at home, we just call them taqutios but this doesn't mean they were not amazing and a great starter. Our main dishes included the marsala and the carbonara. The past came complete with prosciutto and an "egg" yolk! Amazing! And it's fun to break the yolk open. The pasta was so creamy and savory. The marsala reminded me of meat with gravy. Very good textured tofu and comforting flavors! Finally, we completed dinner, with the Pear for dessert. Very cute presentation and fresh, light, and sweet flavors.
Can't wait to go back! They also serve lunch and brunch!
Pros: 100% vegan, Cozy, comfortable atmosphere , Classy but not boujee
