I really wanted to like this place: it’s in a historic building, nestled close to the canals, the staff was very friendly…but contrary to the description listed here, there was only one vegan option: a burger. The burger was one of those overly processed pre-formed vegan patties. Luckily it had a sautéed mushroom on top and lovely red onion marmalade. The bun was too hard to be edible, so I ate the mushroom and marmalade, salad and fries and left the bun and burger. Disappointing.

One option - Edit
Only one vegan option which was a burger, although it was a really good burger. I was annoyed they gave me normal coleslaw, as it was a vegan option and someone could have had an dairy allergy. Props to a traditional pub for catering to vegans though!

The burger was surprisingly good! We've had the burger a couple of times after a long walk down the canal. Very tasty.

We had a jacket potato with beans (they have BBQ pulled celeriac now) and a lentil burger. Although not the most adventurous menu, it still was really nice to sit in a small village and have vegan food.
Read moreThe burger with relish was really nice and both portions were really decent sizes!! I would recommend if in the area and hopefully they will expand to have another option - although it isn't a massive menu anyway so to even have these two is great😄
The pub is in a really beautiful location on the river and this is a big selling point!
