Nice small restaurant - Edit
The place is fairly small, but really cozy. There were only 3 items on the menu, 2 of them were burgers. They were all delicious. The waitress spoke English very well and could help us with the food and drink.

Ich esse nicht viel und trotzdem war für mich das Mittagessen ( ein Stück Kartoffel -Quiche mit Salatbeilage nicht sättigend. Die Quiche mit Räuchertofu war sehr lecker, aber das Salatdressing fad, ohne Gewürz. 10 Euro fand ich ziemlich viel dafür. Mein Begleiter hatte ein Wurst-Crossin für 8 Euro. Das war lecker, aber eben nur ein Snack. Um die Bionade für 4,50 Euro zu trinken, mussten wir erst nach einem Flaschenöffner fragen und aus der Flasche trinken, nachdem wir sie geöffnet haben.

We got there at 11am and were the only ones in the restaurant the whole time. Have indoor and outdoor seating.
Read moreWe were surprised by the small menu. They have three lunch options: soup of the day, stew of the day and a croissant sandwich. We got the croissant sandwich. Was 8€ and for what it was quite pricey. It was basically just meat, cucumber, lettuce and mayonnaise on a croissant. It was good, but nothing special.
They also had three cake choices, some seemed obviously already at least one day old.
The neighborhood was nice. The Hundertwasser-Haus is just around the corner and also the tram-station is just a few meters away. Located in a quieter side alley.
Nice option for Magdeburg, but wouldn’t go out of the way to go there again.

A small restaurant with a small menu. We had burgers with salad which were excellent. Friendly and welcoming. Nice shady spot in hot weather.

we went at 3pm on a thursday and sadly, they didn't have hot or savoury food anymore, just cake. in one of the older reviews i read that they stop serving hot food at 1pm which i find very sad - we would've loved to try it out.
Read morehowever, we tried 2 cakes ("zupfkuchen" and "apfelmustorte mit weißer schokisahne") and a plain croissant. everything was excellent but i was sad i couldn't try these croissant sandwiches or so. i will come back to try them!

Had the “russischer zupfkuchen” and a cake with applesauce and biscoff cream/whip. Both good, the latter a bit disappointing, we expected it to have a stronger biscoff taste, but I’d still have it again, the cake base wasn’t as cake-y as I hoped (tasted a bit healthier than I would like a cake to be haha). The other one was great though! The cheesecake part a bit dense and gelatinous, overall it tasted like I remember the “normal” version from my childhood.

Hidden gem - Edit
Located in a side street (or was it even an inner courtyard 🤔), the cafe is a real gem. There are a few places to sit inside and in summer you can sit outside underneath the trees enjoying the shadow. I was there on a Thursday evening and they had two different cakes at that time. Taste of the first cheesecake was great but not what I thought to be a cheesecake the second one I had 2 weeks later was freaking delicious.

Very disappointing! - Edit
Just arrived in Magdeburg and was looking forward to have some lunch is this praised establishment.... Well, their opening hours are even longer than mentioned here but food is only available at lunch time and I arrived at 15.00h. Since it was raining and I was peckish I decided to stay and have some cake - there was only one left..... The seating is either on high chairs or on the window sill - both uncomfortable for me with my arthritis and I'm totally aware that this is not the resto's fault but it's not a cosy place as the high chair seats are against the wall which you can look at if you don't look into your cuppa or onto your phone.... I addressed the issue with the shop owner who blatantly admitted that she can't care about all the apps where Craps is mentioned. Thanks for this customer care! I won't come back!

Sympathisch und Lecker - Edit
Bin hier öfters in meiner Mittagspause hin, weil der kleine Laden direkt um die Ecke liegt. Es schmeckt und ich werde satt. Was will ich mehr? Sie schmeißt ihren Laden, glaube ich, ganz alleine. Finde ich super. Auch eine super liebe Person.

Delicious cake - Edit
The cake were almost all delicious (except one with milk rice) and the place is really nice. I also had a sandwich once which is very delicious. Unfortunately, I did not find the staff very friendly. I was there in 2018 and 2019, so this has to be considered. A friend of mine participated in a baking course and I tried their cakes which were all super good!

Crops ist der beste Platz für leckeren begaben Kuchen! Außerdem habe ich die Quiche immer sehr gerne gegessen. Von den Getränken bin ich nicht so überzeugt und leider sind die Preise für das was man bekommt unfassbar hoch geworden. Der Kuchen Tag für 3€ pro Stück ist jedoch eine tolle neue Idee!

Nice little place in a quiet backstreet. Seasonal and regional dishes freshly prepared on a mostly weekly menu. Taste is usually good but especially for the price it's not really filling. Won't take any stars off because they got great coffee and hot drinks. Go here if you want to just snack a little and talk.

A really nice place with friendly staff, not a really big menu, but should be something for everyone. The food is fresh and home-made, they had really good cake! It´s really nice inside and outside, but not that big, so it can be hard to find a table sometimes.

The staff is friendly and enjoys you coming over to eat. Food is great, there's a good mix of choices for the different palette vegans. Wonderful, chill outside sitting area which is in the shade so during hot summer or high noon its wonderful to sit in the quite cool corner
