Authentic South Indian - Edit
I've now eaten here a couple of times and it's been great. The food is very authentic south indian, there is a great range of choice (almost too much!), and everything we've eaten here has been very tasty.

It's worth pointing out that this place can be very spicy, and we aren't strangers to spice.
Of particular note is the Idli that is perhaps the best I've had. The Mushroom Pepper Fry is delicious (but it's very spicy! so be warned). I always feel that you can judge a place by it's basics and the Dal Tadka and steamed rice here are just the divine perfection of each of these things.

I ordered the masala dosa and it was really good. I ended up going there again the next day to have the same dish. Highly recommend if you're staying in Reading!

The dosa was excellent and filled me up. Nice vibe too. Highly recommended

Menu all wrong - Edit
Looking at the menu there were so many Vs marked for vegans. It seemed like almost every curry was vegan until on closer inspection the descriptions all read “made with milk and butter”. I asked the waitress: “are these items vegan? They’re marked with a v but they mention milk in the descriptions?”. She assured me they were vegan.
Read moreSo we waited for our meals. My friend’s came first and just as she set his plate down she said “just to let you know the kofta you ordered contains cream. Is that ok?”. Of course I said no and ordered a chana masala which she assured me was vegan. Finally, several minutes later, it came and was the spiciest curry I’ve had in ages. I couldn’t even eat half.

Sul menu non sono segnate le opzioni vegane, abbiamo chiesto al cameriere e ci ha consigliato un Dahl dj lenticchie rosse e riso..buono, piccante, abbondante ed economico.. abbiamo speso circa 20 pound per 2 piatti di riso, due piatti di Dahl e una pinta di birra

Delicious dosa - Edit
I have eaten from this restaurant a few times and it never fails to disappoint. Delicious dosa which comes with a few chutneys. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. It is a lovely atmosphere. Good value

I turned up just after this vegetarian kitchen had closed but they agreed to cook me a Crispy Vegan Masala Dosa to take away.
Read moreIt was fantastic. The dosa was soft in the middle with a third filled with masala. The hot curry sauce and the two cold spices mix pots were great for dunking the crispy part of the dosa into.
Couldn’t fault the food or service.
If I have one gripe and why I took a star off it’s because they use non-recyclable polystyrene cartons and plastic cutlery. Not acceptable today - sorry.
Would I go back? Yes (not take away due to cartons)
Would I recommend. Yes. Amazing Dosa.
Pros: Great Dosa’s, Cheap too, and all veggie or vegan
