Not even worth a vegan try - Edit
I went with my non vegan partner hopeful to find a place that could satisfy both a life long vegan and a meat eater could enjoy brunch not an easy challenge, but you’d think at a place that you need two weeks to get a reservation at a possibility… Food is cold and bland on both parts, they made the tofu wet swimming in cheese with very minimal spice and flavor. The potatoes and sides are very cold and the staff is not accommodating about options and substitutions. Would’ve liked to have tried different options as well but it was overall limiting, lackluster, and OVERPRICED. If the one app I can get is 24 dollars …

Good brunch - Edit
I feel like our brunch options in Rochester are severely lacking, and CRISP does have a few options on the brunch menu, so we figured we'd try it out. Looking at their dinner menu, though, I feel like that's where their vegan selection really stands out.
Read moreWe went for brunch today with friends and split the vegan charcuterie board, which was a little lacking honestly. Especially for $28 ("market" price) - there was a small amount of what appeared to be spirit and abundance cheese, and what was definitely grass fed pepperoni, plus some fruit and candied walnuts. It was good, but they were so busy we had to ask for bread and we got five slices of a mini baguette. More bread would've been an additional charge. With four of us we kind of had to finagle things and wait for our main dishes in order to have enough things to put the cheese on.
I got the breakfast burrito, which was extremely filling and actually very good. I feel like the tofu was underseasoned, but there was so much else going on (home fries, vegan sausage, salsa, vegan cheese, etc) that it was acceptable as filler. The breakfast bowl was very similar just as a bowl instead. The home fries were great and I'd definitely get a side of those next time.
We also got mocktails, which were very good and I'm just grateful to have that option at a lot of places now as I don't really drink.
Overall, I'm not sure if I'm in a rush to come back for brunch. There's really only a handful of options and they're kind of all the same thing just different form factors. Will probably update this review when I find time to check out their dinner selection - the regular menu has much more going on than the brunch one did.
Pros: Good food, Nice staff, Good atmosphere
Cons: Expensive, Limited brunch options
