Near Tunney's Pasture, GCTC (Theatre) - Edit
This restaurant is oriented to the government employees working nearby, and the hours of operation reflect that. Even before becoming vegan, I was disappointed that meat is on the menu. It's been a while since I've been there, but I recall they use a lot of eggs, so if you are vegan, make sure everything you order is in fact vegan. The owner is enthusiastic about vegetarianism and the business has a sustainability attitude and will even deliver lunches and cater your event/s. A small discount for those who arrive at the restaurant by bicycle. The food is delicious, so I don't think you will be disappointed.

Credible Edibles-a perfect place for vegetarians - Edit
Whatever your reasons for being vegan or vegetarian, be it animal protection, regard for the planet or simply your health, you will feel at home at this funky IKEA inspired environment, eating awesome vegetarian food. What I like about CE is its totally green business approach, from its energy supply to its line of totally natural, compostable take out containers, and of course, the menu is full of delicious veg dishes like hot Senegalese peanut soup, dressed with fresh coriander, or vegan tacos with avocado dressing, and of course, sweet treats for vegans and vegetarians alike. I had a fabulous vegan carrot cake and hot spiced apple cider to finish and can recommend this place to anyone who likes really good food, with a conscience.

Cons: Not open most evenings, too bad!
