Well enjoyed takeaway - Edit
Visited here on a whim whilst staying in Walton on Thames 17-19 July 2020 and really enjoyed the mammoth amount of food I bought. By far the best are their BBQ wings they are likely the best wings I’ve had since vegan and it’s been almost 4 years and many eat outs. Those wings were massive and bursting with flavour. A must if visiting.

Great food and amazing customer service - Edit
Really great food, my pasta was a bit garlicky (for my tastes) and the waitress asked me about it and said next time to ask for less as it’s all freshly made and offered a partial refund, which we declined as the food was beautiful just not exactly to my tastes. We then were chatting about vegan milk and the lovely owner gave us a carton of alpro soy. Great food great service, definitely recommend we can’t wait to go back.

Small but more than adequate menu. Opted for the crispy bbq tofu wrap with triple cooked chips. The wrap was delicious. The fries were good, great taste but I would argue they were almost potato sized!

I popped in whilst my children were attending a near by birthday party, and am so glad I did! Delicious coffee and very scrummy strawberry cake, lovely cozy surroundings and super friendly staff, perfect to while away an hour with a book. The menu had lots to choose from so I’ve booked a table for us all for a Mother’s Day treat - can’t wait!!

Tiny cafe, excellent selection of food at a good price. A range of wonderful dishes, which are so tasty. Whether you want veggies, a meaty no-meat burger, cakes, or pasta. Perfect for vegans and non-vegans to enjoy usual meals in a plant-based version. Portion sizes are well-sized. Best chips I've ever had!

Best cheese burger ever! - Edit
I definitely recommend the cheese burger. It was really yummy, full of flavour, with crunchy salad leaves, tomatoes and pickles on top of a tasty burger and melty cheese. It comes with homemade thick cut chips.

What a sweet cafe, but also open for dinner. Which my boyfriend and I enjoyed on Friday evening recently. We had the spicy deep fried cauliflower wings, creamy mushroom pasta and the burger and everything was delicious. My bf is not Vegan but said it was fabulous. The wine was very reasonably priced. They also do take away. A lovely independant cafe only 5 mins away from Polesden lacey National trust.

I’d definitely recommend Crazy Bean. It has a nice relaxed atmosphere and the food is amazing. I had the crispy tofu wrap (delicious) and my partner (a meat eater) had the cauliflower wings, and he loved them. We saved room for cake, also delicious. It would be a good idea to book in advance.

A little gem of a restaurant - Edit
I was so excited to finally visit the Crazy Bean this weekend. The owners were so attentive and knowledgeable - they took the time to talk through the menu and give suggestions. I had the sesame satay tofu salad which might be one of the tastiest salads I've ever eaten! My (omni) parents had the truffle linguine and the chilli, they were both very impressed. I'd definitely recommend you stay for cake too, the selection was incredible! There's also lots of lovely food available on the shelves to buy. I'm already planning my next visit.

Varied menu and amazing cakes! - Edit
After seeing pictures of absolutely beautiful food on the Crazy Bean Cafe’s Instagram, I was keen to go in and try out their menu.
Read moreThis cute little cafe is fully vegan and has a very varied menu, along with a specials board. The staff were so lovely and helpful too, so I couldn’t wait to get eating!
I found it SO difficult to choose what to have because it all sounds amazing. My boyfriend had soup and I had the carbonara, both coming with garlic bread and both SO delicious. All of the food was so flavoursome and proves that vegan food doesn’t have to be boring!
My boyfriend isn’t vegan, but really loved the food and we are both keen to return and try out the rest of the menu.
When I was leaving I decided to grab something to go too. There were lots of freshly baked cakes to choose from so again, a difficult decision, but I ended up choosing the chocolate brownie and rice krispie cake – Both of which were LUSH! I’ve just finished a piece of each with a cup of coffee… Oh wow. The chocolate brownie was so gooey and sweet, amazing! If I lived in Bookham I would definitely be in there ALL the time!
Thanks Crazy Bean - We will be back!

Lovely fresh comfort food - Edit
After a fair step by public transport I arrived at the Crazy Bean to be welcomed with a free test minty-fresh limey mocktail and friendly happy greetings. I then sat down to enjoy a proper 'home-cooked' pastry-wrapped wonder, crunchy roast spuds, lovely greens and a redwine gravy (with a hint of red currant I guess). This was the comfort food I'd been craving for months in my travels. There was a fair fight with other diners for the remaining cakes on offer and I scored the carrot and walnut. I was able to peruse some vegan magazines while I ate although WiFi was on offer - handy for a sola. Crazy Bean is not only comforting because everything on offer is vegan but also because it's all fresh and delicious. Well worth a bus, train and a reasonable walk.

Lovely fresh food in a relaxed space - Edit
We paid a spontaneous visit for Sunday lunch when taking my nonagenarian mother for a country drive. When I rang ahead, the cafe was very accommodating about the fact we didn't know when we'd arrive, which is just as well as we were later than we said.
Read moreAfter we ordered, the food took a little while to arrive. That time was probably needed to prepare and serve it, as everything looked and tasted fresh.. I loved my barley risotto although the portion was so generous that I couldn't finish it. I'm told the pot pie was also excellent and my mother's polenta salad and chips also went down well.
The cafe is in a pretty little high street and the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. The meal was extremely good value, especially compared with some of the vegan and vegetarian places in London.
I'd love to go back and might try to nip down on the train for one of their evening events.
Pros: All vegan, Delicious fresh food, Nice village amidst beautiful countryside
Cons: Can't think of any

Welcoming vegan cafe - Edit
Visited for a friends birthday on Saturday and had a great evening. The food is home style dishes done well and nicely presented without being pretentious. I chose the butternut squash, leek and mushroom pie with chips and shared a side of green veg. My friend had ordered a specially made a rich chocolate cake which was delicious and really good value. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Great to have a full vegan place locally - will be going back.

Superb - Edit
This wonderful small cafe just became one on my favourite restaurants. The place looks very simple but pleasant and homelike. And you expect nice homestyle food. But the food is a masterpiece. Not only super delicious but also so nicely plated! It is really culinary art. We tried few mains, sides and starters and one salad and everything was perfect. Portions are quite small but not expensive so you can try a few meals for the price of one big portion. In general I love it and I am so happy that place like this opened outside London. If they were in London I am sure they would be very popular and had a lot of customers. But I am happy that they are here, where plenty of vegan people live and dream about nice place to visit in the evening. Thank you for a marvelous meal. I wish you good luck.
