Health Store
Market with a buffet bar at 大阪府吹田市垂水町3-34-24 on the opposite side of Esaka Park from Esaka subway station. Carries organic food, many vegetarian and vegan products that are hard to find in regular stores (you have to read the ingredients labels to find out which are vegan), and some meat and fish. Buffet lunch features many vegan options - ask the staff which are. Organic products are available on the first floor. Open Mon-Sat 10:00am-7:00pm.

Read moresome stuff is quite pricey but you also find cheap stuff! for example the gyoza: you get 12 gyoza for around 300-400¥

Loved Vegan Bento - Edit
I had this vegan bento at our monthly JVS (Japan Vegetarian Society) meeting as I am a member of the board of directors, we absolutely loved it!! Very good and healthy! Especially loved the vegan cheese toppings on top of deep-fried Tofu!!

Very convenient - Edit
UPDATE March 2016. They have changed their buffet so it's much smaller and they have changed their soup stock to use fish. You can probably skimp something together still but it's not as good as it used to be!
Read moreI love this store because other grocery stores have very little vegan bread and organic vegetables. But you must be able to read the ingredients list or ask for help, because they have both vegan and non-vegan bread. (Sundays they often run out of bread.) I also recommend Unohana cookies (but there are many non-vegan cookies too) and canned meat substitute (hatake no niku). They have vegan chocolate, too, but not during summer because it will melt during shipping. The lunch buffet is good, but some days are more veg-friendly than other days.

Pros: bread without milk, cookies, organic stuff
Cons: must read labels, much less vegan lunch than before, chocolate only during winter

The lunch buffet really does vary widely by the day, as some days it is nearly all vegan and some days there aren't enough vegetarian dishes to make it worthwhile. If you can read Japanese, check the allergen statements to get an idea of what you can eat (but ask anyway, because some things might contain animal products that aren't considered allergens).

Not as vegan-friendly as I hoped - Edit
I stopped by here mainly looking for some preprepared vegan food to bring to my grandparents' house. This place for the bill for that. I was excited, though, when I saw that they also had a lunch buffet set up, which appeared very vegan-friendly. Sadly, they (unnecessarily) use fish broth in many of their otherwise vegan items (even their veggie burgers!), such that only a couple of their items were vegan/vegetarian.
Read morePros: Fair selection of veg items which are otherwise ha
Cons: Add fish/pork broth to a lot of otherwise vegan it
