Unfortunately this just didn’t land for me. I had the “steak” tacos and was really disappointed with the faux steak: it just tasted and had the mouth feel of rehydrated TVP chunks in a broth, which I suspect it was. Seitan or (king) oyster mushrooms would be way better in this application, but if you’re gonna stick with the TVP, at least squeeze a bit of moisture out and then sauté it for a bit for some texture and steakiness.
Read moreThe gorditas were nicely fried, but there wasn’t nearly enough filling, so any flavor the filling had was completely lost in the gordita itself. The sauce was good, but at that point all you’re getting is the gordita’s texture and the sauce’s flavor.
Portions are fairly small for the price. Staff was pleasant and the atmosphere was nice, but the food just wasn’t there.

Walking distance from the 5 ave strip... but was a little hard to find. The front signage focused on a new yoga studio and the side/alley entrance was kind of hidden. But well worth the effort! Really awesome menu, wish I could have gone back several times. The torta I got (the La Mamadolores) was SO HUGE that I saved half of it and ate it at the airport the next day when heading back.

We went here three times and always enjoyed our stay. The atmosphere is very nice and relaxing. Great food for breakfast and lunch and great coffee from the coffee place next door (we even took some freshly roasted beans home).

Hands down the best vegan spot in Playa! All of the food is delicious, the owners and staff are lovely and prices are very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Playa Del Carmen. 🌱🌮😁

great delicious menu options. a few energy balls. Mex food in cozy neighborhood setting, with a cafe. They should get some quality legit vegan buffalo wings and rename the current ones to deep fried battered cauliflower with creamy dipping sauce.

After finding this place on happy cow, we couldn't have been happier with our choice. After struggling to decide what to get our server suggested some things so we got a few to share between the four of us. All of the food was awesome and my Omni parents in law also loved this place. The croissant was also sooooo good, could have happily eaten another one (or two) 10/10 would recommend to everyone I know who is coming to player del Carmen

Amazing little eatery tucked away in Playa Del carmen. The food was amazing, really flavoursome and filling.. Super friendly service and would recommend any vegan or veggie to seek out Corazon Centento.

This restaurant has the 3B "Bueno, bonito y barato" 😍 everything on the menu is vegan and DELICIOUS. The food recreates the absolutely traditional Mexican food and tradition. Nachos, tacos, "chicken" wings and sauces are crazy. The desserts also are amazing, the chocolate cake is from an another universe. Drinks are home made and fresh. The location is al fresco, it's a little bit hidden(which is good in Playa), quiet, green with lot of trees so the temperature is cool. The place is almost brand new and the staff is absolutely happy to help you choosing from the menu. Inès, our waitress, was absolutely nice, kind and helpful, smiling all the time and so genuine. We'll definitely come back any time soon. Thank you so much and see you soon! 💚

Llegué a Playa Del Carmen con antojos de antojitos mexicanos como tacos, tortas, gorditas y sopes y encontré todos en Corazón Contento y salí con la barriga muy feliz 😀. Aparte de una excelente carta, el personal es muy amigable y brindan un servicio buenísimos.

Amazing vegan burgers. Best vegan cheese I have ever eaten. Wonderful vegan chocolate cake and very good coffee. Service was fast, very friendly and helpful.

Almost couldn’t find it (I think my GPS was a bit dodgy) but glad we persevered! Cute garden hidden in back, super nice staff. We had the breakfast table (each!) which gave a great sample of everything. Could have probably shared one tbh.
