There are better options

Food was ok. Could add tofu for $6.

Pros: Will make several dishes vegan.

Cons: To add tofu +6. Barely cooked.

Out of tofu

We have enjoyed this place in the past, but sadly they were out of tofu we went for dinner out with a big group of family. This was very disappointing and seems like something that could have been avoided. I mean, would this restaurant consider it ok to open id they had run out of meat? I recommend asking if they in fact have the veg options listed on their menu before committing to eating there.

Don’t Know Vegan

I was excited to eat here. After speaking at length with the waiter with inquiries about ingredients, and their assurance and double checking with the kitchen on the vegan status of particular dishes I felt very confident in this restaurant. I ordered a custom vegan maki roll and that was good. I was told I could also indulge in my dining partners vegetable tempura and I did. I did not recheck the vegan status of the tempura after the meal. Guaranteed that it would be fully vegan without egg and without nonvegan sauce I also ordered the Veggie Pad Thai, and ate some of it. When I began to find bits of what looked more like egg than tofu bits my dining partner inquired. It was not vegan at all. They apologized and recooked the meal properly without charge. Apparently there was a miscommunication between waitstaff and kitchen. I’ve been vegan for a good amount of time now and this made me feel just terrible.

Cons: Don’t know vegan

Solid option

Good option for a sit down dinner, it’s a nice restaurant inside and our noodle dish was cooked well.

Best Garlic Eggplant on Earth!

Eggplant is vegan option I usually order when I eat at an Asian restaurant, and the garlic eggplant here was the best I’ve ever had. The eggplant was firm, the sauce a perfect balance of sweet and spicy, the garlic sang (really), and there was a secondary sensation that was mildly hot. My wife had a Szechuan tofu that had a wonderful combination of flavors and heat. The ambiance on a cold December night was warm and comfortable, the food appeared in a timely fashion, and the waitstaff was friendly and welcoming.

Pros: Delicious food, Reasonably priced for Martha's Vineyard, Friendly staff

Decent options when you’re in the mood for Asian food

Don’t like the tofu but got a special roll in rice paper with veggies and seaweed salad w/jalapeño that was amazing. Good spring rolls - weird hot and sour soup that seemed more like French onion with a twist.

Pros: Awesome special veggie roll, Cool atmosphere , Super convenient location

Cons: Thick sauces , Tofu is iffy, No Idaho maki

Delicious and Excellent Service

I stopped here for dinner hoping it would have decent vegan options, and I ended up very happy with my meal. My waitress seemed to know what she was talking about when I asked about my meal being vegan. I ordered the moo shu tofu vegetable, which could be made vegan. It was delicious! The portion was quite large, but it was good as leftovers too. In addition, I had to make the bus after dinner, and once the waitress was informed of this, the service was extremely prompt and considerate.

Pros: delicious food, prompt service

Great stuff

Was worried after reading a recent review but this place was great. The server was really clear about what was vegan and what could be made vegan. At lunch time they have a deal where you get an entree and a soup which is great value.

Pros: Friendly service, Knowledgeable on what’s vegan

Cons: One vegan soup (hot and sour) in lunch deal

Must have changed

I finally went here last night after it being recommended in years past and ended up leaving without eating. The server was nice, but had no idea what might be vegan on the menu. However, he was helpful enough to go and talk to the chef, but when he came back it was with an extremely limited list of five very light items from the Starters and Salads menus. Not a single one of the Vegetarian menu dishes were vegan, which I thought strange, and apparently none could be made to order vegan, which I thought stranger and beyond disappointing.

Pros: None that I could find

Cons: Left without eating

Dinner

Our favorite meal on Martha’s Vineyard! We loved the service and the food. Our server suggested a specialty vegetarian roll (asparagus, cucumber, mango, carrot and avocado with peanuts on top). We loved the hot and sour soup, the miso soup and the tofu spicy Szechuan dinner we shared!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Cheap

Cons: None

Excellent vegan Chinese on island

We popped into Copper Wok for lunch after viewing the menu online, and we were dazzled with the ease of specifying vegan orders, the accommodating service, and the lovely atmosphere. The server and manager were well-versed with vegan needs and communicated with the chefs, which resulted in a most delicious garlic tofu eggplant creation with brown rice. The hot and sour soup is vegan, and the cup that came with lunch was full of veggies, filling, and delicious. The miso soup is not vegan. Lunch was huge and the takeaway served two for leftovers. The server and manager were completely accessible, knowledgeable, and accommodating of vegan needs and any special request. This is now our go-to choice for delicious vegan dining on the island.

Pros: Excellent quality food and ambiance, Vegan is well-understood and easy to order, Very accommodating and knowledgeable staff

Cons: Vegan and veg items not marked, check on sauces
