An owl-themed restaurant and handicrafts shop located at the very end of the freshwater fisherman's wharf in Danshui (or Tamsui). Features dining with views over the water and the sunset. Serves vegetarian food, including Taiwanese noodles and rice dishes with mushrooms, mock meats, and vegetables as well pizza and toast, cakes and sweets, coffee, juice, and tea drinks. Take public transport bus 26 to fishing market station, or ferry to the fisherman's wharf from Tamsui station boardwalk. Open Wed-Fri 11:00am-7:00pm, Sat-Sun 11:00am-7:30pm. Closed Mon-Tue.

Read moreIt is a rather quirky interior design and there are lovely views of the river from the wide windows. The food is good quality with half of the items vegan. Menu is in Chinese and English.

I stopped there for a dessert and a drink. There is only one vegan dessert (a kind of fried taro cake), which was okay. But the passion fruit juice was absolutely amazing !! Really recommend this. A bit pricey (you need to order for 180 NTD at least and there is 10% service fees), but you pay for the view.

Was here July 2019. Saw this place listed on happycow and gave it a try. Here's my Coolife review. It's a cute cafe that's located at the very edge of the wharf right at the water, so just keep walking to the end. Inside you'll find lots of owl-themed ware, including the chopsticks and cups used, as well as a gifts area selling everything owl-themed (cups, purses art). Menu is in Chinese, with some photos, and there's also a smaller menu with English. The owners are very friendly, and their little dog will be the first to greet you upon entering. We order several dishes to share (rice, noodles), and everything was flavorful - recommend the warm noodles. Coffee, tea, and dessert after the meal + chill time makes this spot a very worthwhile stop.
