Incredible gyros and salads - Edit
The food here is super fresh and tastes amazing. The gyros are great and the salads are absolutely incredible. A bit of a walk from the centre but well worth it! Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

Read more€3.50 for a very well portioned pita wrap that was so good. And in an incredibly convenient location away from the more touristy areas! The only thing to be prepared for is limited seating that is only outdoors- takeaway will probably be more convenient! Would absolutely go back

Fifth Attempt, No Food Yet - Edit
I hate to leave this review, but here we are. I work fairly nearby when I am working in Athens. My lunch hour is a little flexible, but not completely. Today was my fifth attempt to gave lunch here. If they opened on-time, i could have had five lunches by now. Today, i came closest. I actually saw them opening the doors, just 25 minutes late. But the promise - optimistic, it seemed to me - of food in just another thirty minutes was, well, too late. The man I talked to was very nice, and other reviews suggest the food is good, so a generous 4 stars, until I can actually eat there.

An awesome ‘Ntakos’ salad - Edit
We had the Dakos salad and a couple of different Gryos. We loved the Salad & thought it was amazing, I would definitely eat that again! The Gryos was nice but we’ve been trying a lot of different Gyros and it wasn’t the best we have had. If I ate here again I’d probably get a salad but not the gyros 🥙

As a traditional eater, I preferred the “white” one which is basically the remake of a traditional gyros with tzatziki (I also tasted the kebab, pink and yellow ones but still)

This is my favourite restaurant in Athens, and probably one of my top 5 vegan restos in the world. The mushroom gyros is phenomenal and you can really feel the love in everything they make. The mushrooms are really well made, and have a nice meaty feel--enough to help you convince your Greekest relatives that there are better options than the crappy generic meat gyros that they're used to. The sauces are fantastic, the pita is fresh, the potatoes are amazing, and the owner and his staff are wonderful. You really feel welcome there and they are happy that you're happy. If I could give this place 50 stars I would. I can't wait to check out their second location. Here's hoping for a future full of Cookoomela's all over Greece!!

[EN] I only have the opportunity to eat the red gyros and it was tasty. The toppings were well selected and, most of all, the food was fresh which can be felt with every bite. You don't need to wait long for food and the stuff was very nice. In Cookoomela Grill you can eat decent for a fair price.
