Pretty good souvlaki - Edit
We were trying to go to the place next door as their menu looked a little more interesting, but they weren't open according to the hours in Happy Cow, and this place was just about to open.
Read moreThe owner (?) was very friendly and although he was not yet open, he invited us to have a seat and look at the menu. We both decided on the Rainbow Supreme, and what came out was very tasty. We weren't really sure what souvlaki was, but we quickly caught on. The pita was super soft and all the ingredients tasted fresh. Lots of mushrooms and it was a filling meal.
It looks like there are a lot of vegan souvlaki places in Athens, and I can see why this was one of the better ones. One comment I have is that most of these souvlakis have no protein. Maybe something to consider to differentiate from the others.

Read moreThe place seems to be really popular with locals and tourists alike. The staff were exceptionally quick despite the many orders.
The food was splendid and the prices very reasonable. I was very hungry and had two souvlaki wraps, one with potatoes and one without and I was very full afterwards.
One point, however - the chairs outside are stools and are on a slope so can be a bit tricky to find a comfortable spot.
Pros: delicious food, quick service , friendly

Read moreThe potatoes were my favourite thing. Thick-cut, perfectly seasoned, delicious wedges. Served with an incredible vegan mayo that is homemade and unmatched elsewhere.
I ordered the Rainbow gyros as well. I thought the tzatziki, guacamole, mayo and vegan cheese would make it quite heavy, but it wasn't too much at all. Perfectly ratioed sauces and lots of mushrooms.
Also really good value for money. There is no indoor seating but plenty of seats outside. All beautifully decorated and clean.
It would be nice to have some other meat replacements like seitan, or more of a build-your-own option. Would recommend !
Owner has a really poor attitude and totally non-receptive to criticism. Don't let it put you off from giving honest reviews.

We ordered on appetizer as a homemade potato fries with cheese and bacon for main course. We had a rainbow pita and bbq pita the size of the food was really a hearty lunch we didn’t finish the fries and the have vegan wine !

Cookoomela's main option is mushroom souvlaki, they have various options with different sauces and veggies for toppings. I'm not a big mushroom fan but I enjoyed trying this. The flavors were great, the prices very reasonable. We also ordered the "cheesy bacon" potatoes - those I thought were just alright, they could have been cooked a bit longer and the potatoes to toppings ratio left a bit to be desired.

Nice little spot to sit outside, friendly casual atmosphere. We ordered the green souvlaki and kebab both were DELICIOUS!!! The lentil kebab was my fav though. Loads of options, all vegan. Really decent prices too. Would definitely go back !

First of all you insult me ! Every single customer leaves the restaurant I clean the table in a second ! Cheapest mushrooms ? Do you know the Greek market ? Portobello mushrooms are very expensive ! Our potatoes and most of our sauces are organic ! Also pur food is not salty at all !
