I had the roasted cauliflower in vegan pesto. So good. Only a few vegan items and a few that could be made vegan but what they have is excellent. And they have huge children’s play area that is great. And if you aren’t dining with kids you can sit far from that area
Came here for lunch and there was not one single vegan option on the menu. Asked to replace the scrambled eggs with avocado in the salad. Extra cost 2$ instead of 4,5$ when you are ordering avocado as a side dish. Well I suppose avocado is quite expensive at the moment. The dressing was with honey and couldn’t be replaced by a vegan option according to the waitress. The pan fried mushrooms which I ordered as a side dish where dry and expensive with another 4,5$ extra. Won’t come back here.
My partner and I have gone to Coogee Cafe for years, so we've seen them through the times when we had to create our own adaptable vegan item by adding and substituting food.
The previous review is outdated, though! Since May this year, Coogee Cafe has changed their menu, adding no less than four distinctly delicious vegan options:

Read moreThe previous review is outdated, though! Since May this year, Coogee Cafe has changed their menu, adding no less than four distinctly delicious vegan options:
Vegan bowl (with avo, quinoa, kale, cherry tomatoes, roasted sweet corn & white wine vinaigrette)
Tofu scramble (with cherry tomatoes, spanish onions, chives & toast)
LSA bircher (with LSA meal, almond milk topped with apple, banana and strawberry)
Vegan pancake (with coconut yoghurt & mixed berry compote)
Quinoa & Kale salad (with avo, roasted pumpkin, asparagus, chia seeds & white wine vinaigrette).
In general, the management is amazingly responsive to feedback for vegan options. I would highly recommend it as a vegan-friendly place to eat.
