I was super excited to finally find a vegan restaurant that made fresh food from scratch with so many options. Firstly, I was so disappointed with my experience that I created a happycow account just to post a review. Secondly, I understand that the restaurant industry is a difficult business especially a plant based one but the customer service was simply unacceptable.
Read moreI looked online at the extensive menu and had an idea of what I was going to order based on a few questions that I asked the server. None of the items I wished to order were even available and the menu didn’t reflect that online or in person. Once I placed my order and paid the server came back to let me know that what I ordered was also not available. I placed a different order that was the exact same price because I was getting annoyed and didn’t want the hassle of doing a refund and repurchase.
Then the server tried to double charge me insisting that I didn’t pay even though I had a receipt and saw my payment approved. I had to call my credit card company to verify that my payment was processed. For what this restaurant charges there’s no way I was going to risk getting charged twice. You would think that the server would be apologetic but she literally couldn’t care less. She just said okay I will have to check with the bank as if I was in the wrong.
Last but not least I finally get my order and left the restaurant as this was a take out order. Only to find out a few minutes later that they made a mistake with my order. I proceeded to go back to have my order rectified which the server did but I didn’t appreciate her attitude. She wasn’t apologetic at all and didn’t even put it in the bag. She literally just put the order on the counter and said here.
I wish I could say that I had a positive experience but this server could learn something about customer service.

Oakville's good vibes plant based restaurant - Edit
The moment you walk in to this place you are welcomed pleasantly. The pictures and the rest of the decor are pleasant and the staff are welcoming. To top it off it does have a liquor menu and a number of reasonably priced desserts. If you are in Oakville you MUST come to this spot!

A celebration event and family surprised us to this previously untried restaurant. Of the two staff on duty none of them acknowledged our presence even though they were few feeta away from and us and were not attending a customer. Took a good while to make us sit in a half empty restaurant.

The coffee we started was very weak and lukewarm warm. We asked for a refill and the refill was the same as well.
Hollandaise Benny was good, the Just egg perhaps cooked from the frozen ready was good. The Impossible/Beyond Sausage was good. The Hollandaise sauce was well made. Disappointed with the home fries quantity - very few.
The Chik’n Burger made from Oyster Mushroom was very good. Crunchy outside and shredded mushroom to give a chicken texture. Just too greasy for us. Again the fries very few - the plate looks empty and not filling for us. IMO not good enough value for almost $25 all in.
The Chik’n and Waffles, same Chik’n as the burger good. The 3 piece (?) waffles were great. The fries still less, however there some salad as well.
Good restaurant, OK service. Food is OK, a bit pricey for what we got.

First of all, this restaurant has a built in service charge and higher prices because they claim to pay a living wage to their employees. You can tip but it’s not expected. So don’t be put off by the ‘higher’ prices on the menu.
Read moreThe food was good- not great. I’m a bit wary of nice vegan restaurants that use products like Beyond Meat or Impossible meat. It shows lack of creativity and inability to create unique meat substitutes that I can’t make at home. I had an Alfredo pasta with beyond meat sausage. It was ok, I could have made the same at home. Wife had a mushroom truffle pizza which was delicious. Appetizer was baked nachos which was quite good.
Decor is nice. Location is great and I really like that the business pays a living wage and there is no expectation of a tip. I’ll try again but will avoid the dishes that look like I can make at home

We enjoyed the nacho appetizer that we shared. It is a very large portion and could be enough for four to share. However, both of our meals were less than enticing.
Read moreI took one bite of the Mac and Cheese and could not take another one. My husband ordered the mushroom risotto and ate about half. He didn’t even want to take the rest home. We asked about the soup of the day and we’re told it’s too hot outside so no one would be ordering it, but my husband’s meal was served so hot he could barely eat it.
The staff did not once ask us how our meals were. Most restaurants, if they see you are not eating will ask if there is a problem. Some will even offer to bring you something else. It seemed like we were deliberately being ignored and the takeaway is that neither of us enjoyed the food and the service was truly lacking.
It is also expensive, especially because of the integrated tips. I do not recommend and we will certainly not return.

Update: Tried this restaurant several times since our first visit. It’s close to where my parents live so I’d really like to like it. However their savoury food is always meh. Tried the butter tofu which had good flavour but the rice wasn’t cooked and it only came with 5 pieces of tofu. Definitely don’t order through DoorDash either. Food is always cold.

We went for brunch and got take out for later. My husband got the eggs Benedict and I got pancakes. Pancakes are definitely of the “healthy” variety and not my fav. My husband liked his. got the Alfredo and the Mac n cheese to go. Both were pretty good. I’d like to try their desserts but not sure I’d get these meals again.

Really nice restaurant with a good menu. I’d definitely go back. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because the food was a bit too oily for my taste. The soup came with fried bread and the salad (green goddess) had a really oily dressing. In hindsight I should have asked for the dressing on the side. But overall a great place with friendly serving staff and a nice vibe.

I was really hyped aboyt the place since I saw good reviews. But in turns out to be really bad. The food was bad, I called risoto (very salty) and nachos (fine). The hibiscus lemonade was sour and the dream something was just like water with a bit of mango and coconut flavor. And I got charged for almost like 100 bucks.

Visited here after my husband’s parents reserved us a table. All we could say was, ‘WOW!’ My meat-eating in-laws we’re blown away and vowed to make it a regular spot to go to. It was wildly delicious, and we sampled what felt like half the menu (but that was certainly not, as they have a HUGE offering)! Of course, everything was incredible, loaded with all kinds of unique ingredients and dishes that you don’t find often… even the classic burger and wrap were done in a way that had a funky, community signature style to it. You can tell a lot of thought and skill goes into building each menu item, and you can guarantee it’ll be high-quality, top tier. Funky spot, easy to fall in love with, regardless of dietary needs or interests!

Best mac'n'cheese EVER but their Butter Tofu steals the show!!! Give it at 15 outta 10 stars...what a find this restaurant is. Taste incredible, got take out and even then, presentation outstanding and portion sizes over the top...got 2 meals outta 1 .... Cant wait to try other menu options. Oakville 45 min driver me but totally worth it.

I was pretty excited to try this place based on their Instagram photos and the rave reviews. The staff was lovely and the restaurant had a great atmosphere but I found the food to be just ok. Perhaps I had my expectations too high but I was not really blown away by anything; it was all fine but not anything memorable or great. We tried the butter tofu, chick’n Caesar wrap followed by the death by chocolate cake and rolo cake. I was truly looking forward to the cakes (love a good cake!) but they fell in to the same trap that I find most restaurant/ bakery vegan cakes do: sickeningly sweet!

I am in love with this restaurant and would be a big time regular if I lived closer. The food is some of the freshest I’ve ever had. Interesting dishes you can’t find at other vegan places, the owner is incredible and so accommodating, friendly, had great stories about her travels and made suggestions on what to try in which we tried everything. Staff is super sweet as well. Atmosphere is very cool and clean. Cheesecake was so good I stuffed down 3 pieces. I can’t recommend this place enough!!!!

Read moreWe shared the lentil pancake, buffalo cauliflower and parsnip soup as appetizers; then people individually ordered tofu curry, veggie chicken wrap, Mac and cheese, crab cake sandwich, and another dish that I can’t remember — and everyone happily devoured their food!
For me, I accidentally forgot to order dressing on the side, and was given a whole new macro salad with tempeh, free of charge — they even deconstructed it for me so I could construct it myself with the perfect ratios.
The server also taught us how to take the best food pics for Instagram, and took a several excellent group photos of us at the end.
It was my birthday so they sang happy birthday and gave me a free chocolate heart (it was so decadent!)
Community restaurant is a wonderful place! Definitely coming back 💖🙏☺️
