Good variety - Edit
Good place for more rare ingredients or local food. They have a wide variety of bulk foods, vitamins/supplements, household products, fresh produce, and chocolate.

Delightful! - Edit
I stopped in here for a few things and was very happy with the selection. If I lived closer I’d definitely go back!

Very vegan friendly! - Edit
We were impressed that the salad bar on our visit had two types of baked tofu (sweet chili and balsamic); quinoa; a Vietnamese rice noodle salad (with crunchy veggies and chunks of seasoned tofu); plus a creamy, cashew based salad dressing option in addition to vinaigrettes. (Plus all the usual salad bar suspects: cukes, shredded carrots, diced bell peppers, etc.) I also appreciated that they labeled the ingredients for all of the breads that are displayed over the top of the salad bar. We ended up grabbing a delicious hunk of focaccia to go with the tasty Moroccan lentil soup from the hot bar.
Read moreThe ready-made sandwich section had a couple of veggie and hummus based sandwiches/wraps and several cold noodle/grain dishes. While there appeared to be only one vegan treat in the bakery display (an apricot oat bar), one only need to venture into the packaged cookie/candy/chocolate aisles to find sweet vegan options! All the bottled smoothies, teas, sparkly beverages, and natural sodas you could ever ask for. A surprising variety of packaged vegan cheeses. This place has not overlooked its vegan clientele.

Disappointed - Edit
Stopped in for a quick breakfast before heading out of town and I was disappointed with their vegan selection. They did not have any baked goodies vegan, their smoothie counter was closed for the summer, I couldn’t find any vegan take away options with protein (I’m trying to track protein), they didn’t have any vegan protein bars and I couldn’t even find any protein shakes! I ended up grabbing a sandwich that had hummus, cucumber, shredded carrots and kalamata olives and my first bite I bit into an olive pit! I was very disappointed with this co-op and will not be back.

Terrific for a meal & for vegan/vegetarian road trip supplies - Edit
With an excellent food buffet (self-serve, priced by the pound), this is a great place to stop for a quick meal with lots of vegan options, then shop for food for the road. The upstairs area has table seating plus a coffee-and-smoothie bar. Don't miss the bulk foods section that has backpacking-friendly food that also works well for preparing a vegan meal on the road that requires only access to hot water -- split pea soup, well-spiced "refried" pinto beans, black beans. With an insulated bag and a few freezer packs for my car, I was able to take lots of good vegan food on my road trip through Montana by shopping here: sandwich makings (local organic whole wheat bread, hummus, faux turkey, etc.), vegan muffins, granola and plant milk, etc.). AND -- they honored my home co-op membership and gave me their member discount! A very beautiful, well-stocked co-op.

go to this co-op! - Edit
On our way out of Bozeman we swung by this co-op as they opened and were able to fill our cooler with some items from them grab and go and had a tasty tofu sandwich for the road. Lots of labelled options. If heading East, be sure to pick up some tofurkey or something because you know Subway may be your only option.

Huge selection - Edit
I have been shopping here for years and you can find just about every ingredient you might ever need for any recipe. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is convenient and the hours are extensive. They have plenty of prepared foods as well and a coffee/juice bar upstairs with vegan bakery items. Sometimes I get something I don't think is the best but most of the time I am entirely happy.

Best vegetarian options in Bozeman! - Edit
Both the Community Food Co-op on West Main and its sister store, Co-op Downtown, on East Main, offer extensive vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dining options. Besides a full-service deli, diners can opt for soups, a salad bar, Good to Go deli items and Co-op baked breads and treats. There are so many tasty, healthy options that the biggest challenge is choosing!

Definitely Worth a Stop! - Edit
Montana is generally thought of as ranching country, but Community Food Co-op will supply all of your veggie needs; it is always our stop for nourishment when travelling through Big Sky country.

A Great Place for Organic & Veg-Friendly - Edit
They have all their deli food categorized by color for Vegetarian, Vegan, and Regular. Salads are ok- hit and miss. Great Jamaican Ginger grilled tofu and Peanut Ginger Tofu. They also have a salad bar, and a create-your-own-sandwich option. Most everything is organic or local.
