Great vegan options! - Edit
This place is very inviting and warm, and the menu is very diverse, with a lot of vegan and gluten-free options. Think elevated comfort food without the higher price. An honorable mention goes out to their soups, which they are very well known for by their regulars. I'm going to become one, too!

Soups on - Edit
We had the Mexican Corn and Bean Sopa with baguette and Spilt Pea Soup with a side of potato wedges. Pretty basic soups. The Mexican soup had flavors of “chili”, but tomato was more prevalent. Doesn’t seem like they are cooking their own beans. Split Pea soup was as expected(blended) just needed a little more seasoning. Potato wedges were good.

Cozy Place! - Edit
2 vegan soups and avocado toast are marked vegan on the menu but they can tweak the portobello mushroom sandwich and their black bean burger to make them vegan per the helpful employee who responded very promptly to my email inquiry. She also mentioned some bagels and baguettes were vegan. A few of the sides looked vegan as well. I got the mushroom sandwich which was decent, but needed more flavor. I’m sure the unaltered version with feta and pesto is better. The side pickle tasted horrible, sadly. They do have a vegan dessert, their chocolate torte, and it’s very good. Really nice ambiance with all the brick and vintage decor but the place is hard to find via the Apple Maps app. Didn’t realize I had to walk through the Drizzle tasting room and down the stairs to get there. Another entrance is through the basement level of Village Books. Seems like everyone knows where this place is because it got really packed.

Delicious and with the effort - Edit
we enjoyed a delightful lunch at Colophon Cafe. Our menu included split pea soup and mexican corn sopa, the portobello sandwich with avocado instead of pesto on sourdough, an assortment of lovely kids’ meals (bagel, hummus and fruit), and a rich, heavenly chocolate torte. The server was helpful, although a little snarky (🙄), but when I called ahead with menu questions I felt very welcomed and was given useful substitution tips.
