Unexpectedly amazing - Edit
We were actually going to Vegetiger close by, but it was closed for some reason so we went to this place instead. That turned out to be a lucky coincidence!

Hidden gem - Edit
Since there were no reviews from 2024, we were worried it was closed, but the café was luckily open. The current menu consisted of bibimbap as the main lunch course, and it was piping hot and delicious! The homemade lemonade was the best I've ever had (and as a lemon lover, I've had a lot of lemonade over the years), and the affogato was amazing. The owner (?) was the loveliest lady. She didn't speak much English but still explained everything very clearly. So glad we found this place! Also, we did not call ahead. We just came by.

Love this place! The vegan sushi is amazing, as was the calamari and noodles. Great dessert, too. Looking forward to going again.

Colline de Tara was our last resort after everything closer to our hotel was closed. We were desperate and wet from the rain, but they instantly cheered us up.
Read moreThe food was delicious and quite different from what we tried before in Japan, but the portions could have been a bit bigger. We enjoyed life music there. A very nice place.

LOVED eating at this wonderful, vegan restaurant in a residential neighborhood. - Edit
Chi, proprietor, cook, server and host welcomed us. We felt like we were honored guests in her house. We had a lovely evening. My husband was working in Nagoya, tried this place and came back when I visited. One of the best meals we had in Nagoya.

Wonderful food, very friendly staff, great value. - Edit
Definitely worth the short trip from Nagoya Station to this funky little place. The set menu I had was a wonderful noodle soup with fantastic broth, seaweed, mushrooms, green onions...just divine. Added to that we’re fried rice balls, croquets, and assorted pickles, including a really surprising citrus seaweed.
Read moreThere was just one person working when I was there, and she was hostess, chef, server, and cashier. As a result, it wasn’t a quick meal, but the gallery upstairs and the comfortable atmosphere made that a benefit.

Delicious food and friendly service - Edit
I felt so welcome as soon as I walked in the door! Staff were very kind, they did not have an English menus so the lady ran through everything on the menu for me. When she brought the food out she explained what each thing was and that they grew most of the ingredients on their farm in Hokkaido. I highly recommend going here!

Beautiful spot, kind owner - Edit
The location was easy to find. The cute exterior stands obviously in contrast to the city around it.

The food was all prepared fresh for us and delicious.

Read moreColline de Tara is an all-vegan restaurant that serves great quality food. One of my favorites in Nagoya. I’d highly recommend their dinner set as you can try many different dishes.
The dinner set comes with an appetizer plate with 3 small dishes, a salad, a plate with 2 fried dishes, 3 sushi, and a dessert. I also added 500 yen to try their en men (noodles) and a drink.
All the dishes are delicious. I especially like the vege balls and tofu cheesecake. The vege ball is made with okara (the pulp of tofu) and mushroom. It is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It’s also extremely flavorful. On the other hand, the cheesecake has smooth texture with a balance between sweet and tangy flavors.
Overall the food in Colline de Tara is simple yet very well-made. This dinner set is about 2200 yen (not including the noodles and drink), but considering it is like a tasting menu, it is worth it.
One other thing to mention is the building that the restaurant is in. It is very open with 3 levels. The wooden decor feels traditional and rustic. It adds to the great experience of the meal.
Pros: All vegan, Well-made and delicious food , Unique decor and welcoming service

Delicious organic food with nice atmosphere - Edit
This is an all-vegan, all-organic restaurant that has a fantastic selection of dishes. I got a course, which included appetizers, a main, vegan sushi, and dessert, all of which were very delicious. The atmosphere was very nice, with very natural decor of mostly wood. The only reason why I marked it down a star is because the dishes were a bit small portion-wise, but that's probably because I had gotten a course.
