Not much

Slim pickings for a vegan. A Beyond burger or guacamole and sweet potato chips. There’s a salad, but it has dairy (might be able to omit.) I didn’t eat here, just wanted to report my findings.
I’d recommend the IGA instead - lots of vegan options (tofu, vegan cheeses, Tofurky, veggie burgers) that you can picnic with. Pretty impressive grocery selection for being so remote.

Pros: Has a vegan offering (more than most in town!)

Cons: Proudly displays a Happy Cow sticker on their door, 1 vegan option

Depends on selections that day...

Like Lubec Brewing Company the menu here seems to change frequently. The night we stopped by I was excited to see a lentil sweet potato shepherd's pie on the menu posted in the window. It turned out that the vegan pie was gone (replaced by beef) and that the menu in the window was from the night before. Drat!

It was a disappointment as that was definitely the most interesting dish described. We ended up with the portobello sandwich (without feta would be vegan), the 3 cheese ravioli and a garden salad to start. I'd say the highlight was actually the salad as it had a nice selection of fresh, tasty veggies, including flavorful tomatoes, which is always a good sign.

Other than that there was a grilled veggie plate with hummus (I do that a lot at home), a vegan hot dog and the Impossible burger. As someone who is committed to whole-sustainable food, not just veg, I would never order the Impossible burger whose manufacturer proudly declares that "Genetic engineering is an essential part of our mission and our product." Make a delicious black bean burger from whole ingredients in-house and I'd look forward to ordering it!

Perhaps if one was staying at the Inn and alerted the owners ahead of time they might be sure to have special veg options available in the restaurant? If you're just passing through I'd check the menu here and at Lubec Brewing to see what they are both offering that day. From one meal at each establishment I definitely give the food at Lubec Brewing higher marks but they are generally more expensive, so it's probably best to figure out the right balance for your tummy/wallet.

Pros: Some solid veg options for the area, Quality ingredients, Fantastic water views & fun bathroom decor!

Cons: More consistent interesting options would be nice, Veggie burger is GMO-"Impossible" , not whole-food ingredients or made in-house

Great food and vegan friendly

I have eaten here a number of times over the last few years when visiting the area, and it's my favorite place. Unlike almost anywhere else for 100 miles, they aim to give a choice to vegans, and the staff are understanding and accommodating. And it's good food in a great atmosphere, with outstanding wildlife views. A must visit for vegans looking for a good meal out while up here. (The brewpub down the street is also good, but the hours and menu are rather more limited.)

Pros: Cater for vegans
