It is challenging to find the restaurants that opens during the dinner time around this area. Nice clean quick place to stop for lunch or dinner.

Fast and cheap, but still good - Edit
First of all, make sure to request the vegan/vegetarian menu!
Read moreThey have a few options which are mostly just different versions of the other. The pricing is good as they serve big portions that also taste pretty good!
There are a lot of available seats with some privacy and the serving was pretty fast.

Decent selection of vegan curries - Edit
Quick service type place, separate vegetarian curry menu (but they are all actually vegan). Light on the vegetables in the curry but the flavor is good and it’s fairly cheap. 6 curries altogether that are vegan. Note: if you get one with fried vegetables they cook them in the same fryer as the meat.
Read morePros: Vegan options , Quick service , Cheap
Cons: Same fryer as meat, Lacking in vegetable quantity

Full vegan menu and salads - Edit
Really great place for a quick and reasonably priced curry and salad. A few vegan variations with different vegetable options. However, as per traditional curry it does not come filled with veggies. Still delicious and I also had a side salad which was excellent.
Read morePros: Separate Vegetarian/vegan menu, Delicious and fast, Reasonably priced
Cons: Not a huge amount of veggies in the curry, Slightly spicy (not great for low tolerance)

Loving the deep fried aubergine. Quite a bit pricier than the veggie mushroom dish though!

LOOOOVE JAPANESE CURRY - Edit
I am seriously in love with these restaurants. Nomnomnom. But I do love saucy dishes as well. Do remember to ask for the separate vegetarian menu, because the dishes from the normal menu will contain animal derived ingredients of some sorts. You can choose your level of spicyness as well.

Vegan japanese curry - Edit
CoCo is one of the greatest chains in Japan. An Im happy to see that (finally) more and more can offer you the vego curry. This one had english menu and english speaking employees so even if you don’t speak japanese it’s easy to order, but as said before, be sure to ask for the “vegetarian curry menu”, because you can order the dishes with just vegetables and they’ll still give you a dish made with for example beef curry. Be sure to choose the right level of spiciness.

I love coco ichiban - Edit
I had the eggplant curry which is my coco favorite. It’s also possible to choose the size of the rice serving, I usually get 200g of rice since the curry portions are so big. I also recommend choosing the level of spice-ness if you like spicy food.
Read morePs. You choose rice size & spicy-ness from the regular menu :)

Japan wide restaurant chain - Edit
By far the largest Japanese Curry I've ever had. Don't order the veggie curry without specifying that you want the vegetarian sauce.

Simple - Edit
Went here on my day trip to Nara after I'd walked to 2mistletoes or something only to discover they were closed.
Read moreI think it is important to note that the vegetarian curries are on a separate menu, because I became a bit dishearted as I flipped through the 'normal' menu. I does state that is free of nuts, eggs etc but produced in a place where dairy is used. So if you are really allergic to diary or other it is not a solution.
They let you choose between seven different curries but I think the only different was the different veggies in it. You can also choose how much rice you want, I choose 300 grams which is the normal amount for them and it filled me up. Tasted nice but not some place I'm gonna miss not going to again. It's a fine solution if there is nothing else vegan in the area but don't let it be your first choice.
Pros: Good location , Fast and cheap, Good portions
Cons: Staff doesn't understand a word of English , Not for people with strong allergies, Vegetarian options hard to find in menu

I ordered the vegetarian curry with vegetables. It was a big plate, but fine by me. It tasted great and it is not expensive.
