Best vegan Mexican I’ve ever eaten - Edit
Breaking the usual mold of vegan Mexican, Cocina de Carlos offers plant based cheese and has a whole vegan entrée section of the menu. I had the vegan enchiladas, filled with house made fresh cactus and plant based chorizo, and they were delicious. My husband had the vegan chimichangas filled with plant based chorizo and corn, and he loved it.
Read moreAfter my meal I chatted with the owner, he’s super nice and very accommodating of customers’ special needs, vegan or allergies or whatever. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit if you are driving through Ohio as I was.
Pros: Variety of vegan options , Many vegan ingredients made in house, Owner really looking out for his customers
Cons: Corn tortillas were only so-so, texture was off

With the area seriously lacking in vegan restaurants, I'm so glad Cocina de Carlos has the vegan options that they do. The vegan chimichanga is so good and filling! Their beans are also very yummy

This place obviously cares for its vegan eaters, effort is put into their vegan entrees and they are all just as beautiful and complex as any other entree on the menu. Someone in the kitchen knows what they’re doing as far as vegan food😉

This is the best vegan food I’ve had in a minute! I had the chimichanga grande and it comes with delicious vegan meat and vegan cheese! Ohhhhh it was sooooooo good! Highly recommend!

This place has so many vegan options and anything I’ve had there has been incredible. I’ve had the vegan pineapple and the Al pastor tacos and I’ve loved them both. They also have a vegan queso that they source from Mindful Table, which is rare for Mexican restaurants.
