Love the food and atmosphere - Edit
I found some street parking after driving around the block a few times. When I first walked in, I was the only one in the restaurant. I came just as they opened. And I’m glad I did because within a few minutes almost every table in that front section was taken. Absolutely love the atmosphere and the decorations. Food was killer. there are cluck Norris vegan wings were delicious. Have a vegan potato salad that you can get as well. And a fake Plissken beyond burger which was an absolutely fabulous serving size and very delicious. 100% would come back to this location next time I’m in the area.

If you’ve ever wanted a deep fried brick of locally made tofu on a challah bun, go to Cobra. Plus, mock chick-fil-a sandwiches on Sundays. It’s basically church to us.

Was planning to get a sandwich but the brunch menu had French Toast. I can almost never turn down French toast or any variation. I plan to return to try a tofu option.

Cons: Mimosa in a beer glass with ice, watered down., Crowd not very diverse. May b the neighborhood

Nashville Hot Tofu hen shot - Edit
I’ve been going here for years. It’s one of my favorite places in Richmond. You don’t go here for healthy food. Get the tofu hen shot, nashville hot with an extra side of their vegan ranch to cool it down. You can’t go wrong. The fries are great, strange mac is pretty good (i add some seasoning when i have it for leftovers, it’s more like nutritional yeast based sauce - old school) The side salad is nice too. I’m tempted to try other vegan options but this is so good I rarely get anything else.

It was an interesting place lots of art that went with the theme. It’s cool to see what they did with a small place. I would have given a better review but the service was really slow and the staff were kinda jerks even though there were a bunch of signs that say no jerks, ironic… the vegan food was not great. Kinda bland kinda oily. The fries were very good and that nets them a star. The beer selection was slim and mostly stuff you can get at Walmart but was priced like it was fresh from the draft, but it was canned and bottled. The other thing is we got our beer told the server we were going to order food and then the server never checked on us again. 40 min of waiting then we flagged them down. Also the vegan Mac was pretty bad

Pros: Neat building , Cool art , Great names for stuff on the menu
Cons: Staff were not very good about checking on us , Staff were not friendly , Food was bland and had a lot of oil on it.

I had the tofu sandwich with Buffalo sauce and a side of waffle fries. It was amazing. Great texture to the tofu. Fries were crispy and tasty. My kid got the side portion of strange mac as an entree and it was plenty. Outdoor seating is available if you have a dog friend along or just want to enjoy the fresh air with your delicious food and beverages. I will definitely be back when I’m in the area!

A very hip location to get food and hang out. I tried the chik-fil-gay sandwich and enjoyed that with the waffle fries, also had the vegan macaroni which was pretty good. The cheeze on it was mainly just nutritional yeast, so it tasted just like that, but did not have that cakey consistency nooch sometimes gives.

What a cool new place! I’d never had a lobster roll before, so to have a vegan one was neat lol. The strange mac is pretty good; not exactly cheesy, but definitely hits the spot! The atmosphere of the restaurant is trendy and cozy. Not a lot of tables, so if you have more than two in your group, I’d call ahead and see if there’s space or let them know you’re coming. I’ll be back for sure!

The Hearts of Palm (vegan lobster roll) is good although little heavy on the mayo for me. The vegan lasagna burrito is exception. The tofu ricotta is so good. It’s massive too so easy to split of have left over. Even though it is saucy so I could see it being soggy for left overs. The fries are awesome too and a ginormous portion (easily splittable, too).

I love that Cobra Cabana has multiple pricing tiers of spirits for cocktails. I would have had a lot of fun here as a student but now that I'm way old with a little more money to help out the restaurant and spirit makers, I like to upgrade to "King Cobra" (top shelf spirits). Cheers! 🍸
