No vegan options - Edit

Make sure to call ahead because they don't always have vegan options. We made a special trip to Clumpies after several people recommended it but they didn't have anything vegan.

Disappointing - Edit

They do have a variety of dairy free offerings. I ordered a scoop of chocolate dairy free ice cream & my husband ordered the raspberry hibiscus sorbet. He liked his very much, mine was ok. I think they used coconut milk as a base and I’m not fond of coconut y based ice creams.
My main complaint was with the cleanliness or lack thereof. Bench seating was available but the benches hadn’t been cleaned and were dirty so we sat between spotted sections and all the tables were dirty. It struck me as a very unappetizing environment.
We won’t be back.

I tried the chocolate ice cream, which was coconut based, and I absolutely loved it. I wish I got to try the peanut butter cookie flavor but they were out

Great options - Edit

I was surprised to find that they had quite a selection of vegan options. I got the PB Black and White cookie flavor. There was a definite coconut undertone, but it was really, really good! They also had Thin Mint, Coconut, Strawberry Sorbet, and maybe some others. It was VERY crowded. The line was very long. We waited for quite a while.

Classic Chattanooga experience - Edit

This shop is located on North Shore Chattanooga, extremely close to Coolidge Park. The location is so close to the Market Street walking bridge, so you can grab a cone and take in iconic Chattanooga views. The placement is conveniently close to several restaurants with vegan options. Recently, Clumpies has expanded their dairy-free options to include several sorbet flavors and a Girl Scouts Thin Mint flavor.

I can’t tell you how many times I have been to Clumpies and then spent some time walking across the bridge. Whenever people visit me, that seems to be the activity. Go to Clumpies for the iconic Chatt experience.
