Incredibly tasty - Edit
We went to Cherbourg yesterday just to visit the harbour and - of course - eat in Club Dinette. Our holiday in Normandy was so far lacking Restaurant visits due to the fact that there often isn‘t even a vegetarian option. Club Dinette is wonderfully decorated and the staff is so friendly! My son chose an appetizer (Potatoe Samosas) and we ordered both main dishes and the desserts. It was so yummy! Unfortunately Club Dinette seems to be closing in December which will be an absolute loss for Cherbourg.

I went there today with my husband who is not vegan ... I give this place 4 stars because it is not fully vegan - it isn't even fully vegetarian. We live not far away. The waitresses are absolutely adorable ! The food is absolutely OK and what is also very important is the recycling thingy. The furniture is all second hand and it is charming and cosy - no need to buy something new and probably made in China. I'm Danish, my husband is French and I have been in France for 35 years now ... Cherbourg isn't the best place for vegans, but this place is absolutely OK although I am not 100% sure if everything I eat there is vegan. The burger buns - are they vegan ? No eggs ? And my starter with some noodles - is it sure that there are no eggs in them too ? I am NOT a hysterical vegan, but I would like to be sure ...

Eines der wenigen oder sogar das einzige Restaurant in Cherbourg mit einer veganen Alternative. Einfach danach fragen. Das Serviceteam konnte kompetent Auskunft geben. Reis-Haselnussmilch für den Kaffee gibt es auch. Sehr lecker!

Fantastic brunch which can be veganised - Edit
You have to ask for a vegan version of brunch (this is a vegetarian cafe, so by default there's eggs/dairy) but the staff are so helpful and friendly - and the veganised version of the brunch is FANTASTIC! €22 for a mixed plate of delicious food, a dessert, a hot drink and a fruit juice is an absolute bargain. Highly recommended!

Of all the vegan-friendly places I tried in Cherbourg, this one is the best! The place is super cosy and the staff is incredibly friendly. The menu is short (2 starters, 2 main courses, 2 desserts) but everything is made from seasonal and local products. I had panisse & houmous for starter, very tasty! The couscous was also very good. The staff knows what vegan is and really tries to accommodate. Strongly recommended!!

De tous les endroits vegan-friendly que j’ai testé à Cherbourg, celui-ci est le meilleur! L’endroit est très cosy et le staff est vraiment super gentil. Le menu est court (2 entrées, 2 plats, 2 desserts) mais tout est fait avec des produits locaux et de saison. J’ai choisi le panisse et le houmous en entrée qui étaient vraiment très bons, tout comme le couscous en plat principal. Les serveuses savent ce qu’est le véganisme et s’adapteront au mieux. Je recommande vraiment!

Extremely helpful & friendly staff who ensured that my meal was not only vegan but without refined sugar. The assiette composee was like a mezze and adapted to what I wanted. It was very tasty. I was particularly struck by the panisse. It looked like fried tofu cubes but is made from chick peas to a recipe from the South of France. #Veganuary

Club Di est très vite devenue mon adresse préférée de la région. A chaque passage à Cherbourg j’y vais et ne suis jamais déçue. Tous les plats sont savoureux et le personnel est accueillant et dynamique. Il y a toujours une option vegan à la carte, la cuisine est locale et délicieuse. Je recommande vivement.

The server was very helpful and explained what she could in English which was very kind and unexpected. There was no choice in meal for a vegan but the meal presented was good. It was several different foods on one plate, and was local, seasonal, and tasty. It was average in price for the Peninsular. The desert was okay but somewhat unimaginative, being just berries and oats.

Very nice eco-friendly restaurant that uses products from local producers. They have 2 main dishes and 2 desserts that change each week. The staff is very nice and can easily accommodate the vegetarian dishes into vegan ones. The food was delicious when I was there.

Very nice restaurant, only 2 different main dishes a day (12 euros a big plate), but almost everything is local, organic and vegetarian . Dessert: 5,50 euros. Possible to have a vegan and gluten-free dish. The whole place is eco-friendly. Also nice to have a drink.
