Not my best experience
The veggie burger was mediocre at best..lacked taste and I asked for the works but when it came was just a burger on dry hard bun..the best part if the whole meal was the tomato and my daughter ordered the quesadilla but the tempeh was dry and mushroom not even cooked..needless to say this is my first and last time here...wasted 25 dollars and the only thing we had to drink was water...rather of gave money to the homeless man standing outside
Pros: The deserts looked good..not sure of the the taste
Cons: The veggie burger was nasty..no flavor and the bun, was hard and dry...definitely not worth the money
Claire's Corner Copia
We were given a gift card for this place, so we headed there to try it out. Place was extremely crowded, which I chalk up to it's proximity to Yale and lack of vegan options in New Haven, because the food was not good. Lots of cheap processed junk tossed together to make a burrito - the soy buffalo 'chicken' tasted like a hunk of bologna soaked in vinegar. The vegan desserts were just ok. Smoothie was the kind made with a bunch of ground up ice cubes, rather than the kind made from all frozen fruit, and the lemonade tasted like grocery store junk. Very disappointed in the taste/quality for the high prices.
Ableist staff
Staff are sugar coated, hypocritical and all around I'm boy-cotting! this is supposed to be an equal opportunity provider but they only give 2 hours of training! its such a shame this place has gone so white capitalist. I'd reccommend buying vegan food that is cheaper and poc friendly, like 9th street carrabean market...at least you won't find out that the boss just doesn't like people with piercings, disabilities or lgbt. You'll find what you're looking for, cruelty free food!!!!
Pros: Over priced food, Sugar-coated staff, At least claire supposedly runs it
Cons: Ablesism, White capitalism, Condescending staff

Busy place - Edit
I get this place is an establishment. I get that 30+ years ago there were practically no such things as vegetarian restaurants. It is a busy place, so you would think there would be a reason other than location (probably not). Our food was microwaved, and poorly at that. I got the spicy buffalo soy chicken burrito with vegan cheeze, and the rice was luke warm and the cheeze shreds inside were cold, the tomato sauce passing as enchilada sauce on top was lukewarm. The buffalo soy chicken was fine. But that warm rice / cold cheeze shreds combo left me reeling for hours. It was simply NOT GOOD. My partner got a dry, microwaved veggie patty, no sauce. The place didn't even include the soy bacon as advertised, nor the vegan cheeze also advertised. The side salad were about three noodles of rigatoni in a thimble-sized plastic cup. All this for $32. Also, my Arnold Palmer tasted worse than if I had put a teaspoon of Country Life mix in a gallon of water and passed it off as half and half. Avoid. Go to Ninth Square Carribean Market (if it happens to be open on the day you happen to be in New Haven).
