Designated vegan menu - Edit
Proudly displays a vegan selection- with options for every course. Many items are vegan counterparts of main menu items, with all efforts and portions the same as non-vegan options. As good as it gets in Little Italy.

Amazing Food - Edit
We got the vegan meats and cheese board, mushroom calamari, and gnocchi and it was amazing. The sausage in the gnocchi had a wonderful flavor and texture and the vegan mozzarella in it even had a small amount of pull to it. I would absolutely come back next time I’m in San Diego

Excellent vegan menu & ambience - Edit
I had the gnocchi with vegan sausage and focaccia with pesto (just olive oil and basil). Very filling and made for two meals. The ambience here is 5 stars and I go every time I am in downtown San Diego. The manager is so friendly and will ensure you have a lovely dining experience.

Authentic Italian - Edit
Loved the Vegan Ravioli Classico filled with ricotta and spinach in pink vodka sauce that gives it a strong flavor topped with beet sprouts, fresh pasta made from scratch always makes the difference. The Vegan Tiramisu was perfect I could taste the espresso and felt the creamy mascarpone not that sugary version that is most likely to find everywhere. Glad to found a place that offers a Vegan menu that keeps renovating, I’m looking forward to visit again any try the Gnocchi and the Cannolis before they go!

Great vegan Italian food options!! - Edit
Sat outdoor which was very nice with ocean breeze summer weather. Very friendly staffs. The best part is the whole vegan menu In the middle of the menu!! Never had vegan prosciutto and salami before which was very delicious and fun to try. Loved their gnocchi - homemade gnocchi with eggplants and sausages!!

Very expensive - Edit
Went for lunch recently ended up with $80 bill, we were still starving. Dishes are almost $20 per plate, portions are small. Well most likely not be back and don't recommend.

Authentic not traditional vegan/vegetarian - Edit
Liked our late lunch here. I liked it because it is a ”normal” restaurant with vegan menu. Maybe we’re too used to fast food lunch places in nyc. We had zucchini flowers as antipasto and vegan risotto and vegetarian gf fusili. All excellent but a little too fried and oily to our taste. (Although we knew this when ordering.) would definitely recommend and come back.

Disappointed - Edit
I only give it four stars because they have a whole section of their menu labeled vegan and it includes desserts. However, the food itself was not great. They were out of both the vegan ravioli and the lasagna!! So maybe those are good, but I wasn’t able to try them. Instead I had to get the gnocchi, which was okay but not excellent. I was excited to order the vegan tiramisu and cannolis, but they were sadly quite bland.

Bland - Edit
Extremely bland, unimaginative vegan dish. Don't remember what it was called but it was essentially pasta with tomato sauce and vegetables (peas, carrots, squash) that looked like they came out of a frozen bag. Extremely salty, probably to make up for the lack of flavor. $16. They were also out of the two vegan appetizers we wanted to try. Appreciate the effort to include vegan options but they have to do better than that, I mean come on.

I don't understand why some people rate this low! Yes, it is a bit pricey but its really hard to find vegan lasagna or ravioli (other than frozen). I really appreciated the clear vegan section on the menu.

Expensive but Mediocre - Edit
there are many vegan options but they are overpriced. The food was very salty and vegan cheese definitely needed some lemon. I found the food to be very disappointing and the menu very deceiving.

So unbearably disappointing - Edit
The hopes were high -- they place a vegan menu on every table with the non-vegan one. There are 6 or 7 vegan choices. So exciting. This is so rare to find. Everything is made in house - wow! Annnnddddddd, the food is awful. Seriously, it's like they used up all their skills creating and presenting a pretty menu and then the chef tossed a few crappy things together and called it a day. As if vegans don't have tastebuds and should just "be happy" they were considered in the first place. Ugh!
Read moreI got the lasagna. Four layers of decent house-made noodles, a metric ton of housemade seitan sausage between the layers, and a thimble full of cheese for the whole thing. Wha?? I saw the non-vegan lasagna, I know you know how to make lasagna, but for the vegans, not gonna even make an effort.
Tiramisu -- so exciting!! Literally a vanilla cupcake, sliced in half, with little layer of cocoa, covered with a sauce. It didn't even taste like espresso - it tasted like a vanilla cupcake arghhhh. My sister got the non-vegan tiramisu-- it was done right. So, they know how to make it...
Lastly, my sister ordered a non-vegan dish with wild mushrooms. There was not even one wild mushroom in the dish. All the cheap common button mushrooms. I'm a mushroom forager - can't fool me. Total joke and legit dishonesty.
I emailed them and gave my feedback, expressed my disappointment and desire for them to do better bc after all, they have a very nice-looking menu. Never heard back.
The marketing person & chef really need to have a heart to heart here. I don't think the chefs on board with the vegan thing.
Pros: The bread with dipping sauce is amazing
Cons: Everything else , Food is expensive and not good

This was a nice vegan meal in Downtown San Diego. The v menu here has plentiful of options, rich flavours, and there is not a pizza in sight. They even have dairy free pistachio ice cream. Good place to bring meat eaters.

Wish fulfilled - Edit
I have been wanting to try this place for a while. I had the vegan lasagna with lots of sauce and veggie crumbles. Super good but the focaccia was dangerous and made me have leftovers. My hubby is gf and vegan. Not many options that were explicitly stated for entrees but the kitchen made him a pasta with sauce and veggies. He had the appetizer of mozzarella caprese salad (vegan rice mozzarella) and left satisfied. Excellent service. Reservations needed/recommended.

Incredible Vegan Offerings - Edit
We had a fabulous time. The separate vegan menu has many offerings such as appetizers, main courses, and desserts. We had the mushroom "calamari" and vegan Brie with vegetables for appetizers. Mouthwatering, flavorful, exquisite. I had a mushroom ravioli for my main course. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the portion was decent, I only wished for a tad more herbs on top to help with depth of flavor. No dessert for us because we were about to burst but the strawberry cake was tempting. Make sure to make reservations as they get super busy.

I had their mushroom ravioli and it is the best I've has since going vegan. It was bursting with flavor and so delicious, I ate it all in 5 minutes. The portion sizes were a little small, but definitely worth the price. Super quick service. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Loved it! - Edit
Dinner was fantastic. I knew it was going to be good when they brought out the complimentary focaccia and pesto just moments after we sat down. The staff was very mindful of my vegan dietary preference and gave me the vegan menu from the get go without me even asking. I shared the mushroom calamari with my partner and ordered the fettucine ragout for my main course. Both were delicious and came in generous portions. For dessert we had the vegan tiramisu, which was just the perfect dish to round out our meal. Service was attentive and efficient; empty plates were promptly cleared and our water glasses never went empty. I thought the prices were reasonable for the quality of food and service. Would definitely come back when I find myself in town again.

Not quite worth the expense - Edit
I had the ravioli and while they were delicious, I got 5 whole noodles for $17. My companions however got dishes with more reasonable portions, but they were both really quite bland. The staff were above and beyond hospitable for how crowded and busy the restaurant was, making up for the experience.
