Delicious, affordable, uncomplicated

Tasty Turkish food with almost no indication that all the food is vegan — would have been easy to walk on by! Several different wraps with fresh veggies, köfte and/or falafel (kinda dry) and/or çigköftem. Be aware that your non-Dutch debit probably won’t work (until they update their card reader) — even my Wise account didn’t work (debit or Apple Pay) and came up as “Unknown card.” First place we’ve needed to use cash since arriving here.

Pros: Affordable , Tasty, Not afraid of spices

Cons: Non-Dutch cards not accepted

Great food, so so service.

Ate here a few times and returned for the great food that is also reasonably priced. The first two times the service was great, the last time the person who was working was very rude and also claimed that you could only pay with dutch cards, which was a lie since we’d paid there with card before. She also provided no assistance in helping us find an atm. So definitely go there if you’re in the neighborhood, but be wary that good service is not guaranteed.

Pros: The köfte is very tasty

Cons: Staff can be rude and unhelpful

Would Never Have Found This Place Without Happy Cow

An unusual vegan place. This place looks like a fairly run of the mill Turkish Snack Bar except it happens to be vegan. The food is pretty good and the prices are what you would expect at a Turkish Snack Bar eg there is no vegan tax. The menu is limited but it is tasty. I have eaten here twice now

Pros: Tasty Food, Not your typical vegan fare. No soya. , Cheap!

Cons: Limited selection, Some non vegan stuff eg yoghurt drinks

Good Surprise

We walked countless of times around Cigköftem before finding that is vegan from HappyCow's app. Walked in when we were very hungry before taking our train to Nijmegen. Tried the köfte wrap and the çigköfte, both very nice and no greasy like most of the fast food things you'll find anywhere. The guy working at the place was very excited and really friendly. Generous service and a great surprise that is all vegan (except for the drinks, they have yogurt and ayran which are not vegan).

Pros: Cheap, Fast, Not greasy

Cons: Limited options

Fun little place

Limited options but very tasty. Never thought I'd find a vegan Turkish snackbar like this but it was an amazing experience. Tried the köfte wrap and the çigköfte, both very tasty.

Pros: Tasty food, Food you'd not expect to find in a vegan version

Cons: Limited options

Great healthy vegan snacks

Let me start out by saying this establishment is 100% vegan and deserves 5 stars. Hopefully Happy Cow fixes their label soon. Hearty, healthy and delicious Turkish snacks! I was pleasantly surprised :)
Generous portions, very helpful and friendly staff. You have to try the filled cofte, super yummy.

Pros: completely vegan menu big portions

delicious, fresh and healthy VEGAN place

It was such a pleasant surprise to discover this unassuming but wonderful vegan place! They serve vegan köfte in a wrap with ingredients like bulgur, herbs and spices, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, mint and recently also a delicious falaffel in a wrap, with houmous, fresh vegetables, herbs and spices. It all tastes very fresh and super healthy too. It costs little and is a real good filling lunch or dinner meal. Needless to say I'm quite a regular at this place!

Pros: fresh, healthy, price

Quick snack

I actually went to Cigkoftem in Zaandam a while ago and was happily surprised by it. So when I saw a location opening up near where I live I got really excited! My fiance and I decided to get dinner here after we had some drinks nearby. Had the wrap and my fiance the burger. Decided to sit down because we were hungry but the place wasn't really decorated (yet?) so I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a nice sit-down dinner. It is fastfood though so no big deal for us! Since the portion is more snack size (or we might just have big appetites) we ordered another wrap each to take. Service is good and friendly staff. It did feel like they were still kind of figuring out their way around with doing deliveries and helping in-store customers but I'm sure that will get better in no-time since the place is fairly new!

Pros: Delicious (fairly healthy) snack, Friendly staff, Cheap

Cons: Not the coziest atmosphere, My fiance missed the option to order fries

Beware

I went to this place, but was a bit disappointed when we found it.
- first of: it is a fastfood/ takeaway place rather than a restaurant.
- second: it wasn't all vegan at all. The base dough of teh Cigköftem is indeed vegan (and i believe rawfood), made from nuts and spices, but they also sold Cigkoftem filled with minced meat.

There was not a lot of choice in dishes. Basically it was Cigkoftem, spicy or less spicy, in a wrap or on a plate.

I give them 3 happy cows because the Cigkoftem WAS good, but I only recommend going to this place for a quick lunch.

Pros: the stuff IS good, cheap

Cons: few dishes, not all vegan , location
