Amazing creative kitchen - Edit
Incredible experience. I tried the lion steak and the special Christmas burger. It was made of mushrooms and not the typical heura o beyond meat. The staff was extremely nice and they also have pastries from another local vegan bakery. I will definitely come back in my next visit to Prague.

Loved the atmosphere, the Christmas "eggnog", and mushroom schnitzel. Highly recommend , staff was very friendly and located in a modern new area with a great park to wander around nearby.

Amazing food. I feel like the most amazing I have tried out of the countries in Europe. I was impressed with the pasta and desserts. The vegan hazelnut cheesecake was the best I have had, too. I didn't take a picture of the desserts from their sister bakery Krafin, but they were amazing flaky pastries 😍 I would love to come back when I visit Prague again one day.

10/10 amazing food! - Edit
This was some of the best food I had not just on our trip but in a long time! My fiancée and I visited for dinner and had the sauerkraut croquettes to start which were delicious! For mains we had the creamy filled pasta and the gnocchi, they were both amazing but the gnocchi was 10/10, so yummy! The menu is all plant based seasonal dishes with creative flavours and lovely presentation. Also very good value, around £40 gbp for starter, mains and two cocktails!

Our stay at Chutnej was overall satisfying. The staff was very friendly and the food was very tasty although the prices are quite high and the (main dish) portions are rather small.

Bland Soup - Edit
Quite large restaurant with nice interior design with lots of plants. The music was classics like For Once In My Life by Stevie Wonder.

i didnt like it - Edit
the only thing i liked from the 6 dishes i tried was the soup. i had much higher expectations. the pasta especially was weird tasting with a lot of fennel and breadcrumbs that were the texture and taste of brown sugar...
Read morethe mushroom starter had very salty chewy mushrooms
anyway, nothing was right, the desserts were also not to my taste, it is super expensive but a very small menu for dinner.

Top Gnocci! - my favorite restaurant in Prague - Edit
When you enter the restaurant you come into a nicely decorated room with a lot of plants and dimmed light. The ideal setting for a nice meal.
Read moreAs starter I choose the "mozerella like cheese"- the mozarella was a bit firm, but taste was good and the accompanying bread was grilled with a splash of high quality olive oil. Very tasty.
As a drink a tried the homemade-fermented-lemonade, verfreshing combination of little bit sweet, bit more sour taste.
Main dish was the Gnocci, and the taste of this dish was out of this world. It was a long time ago that I was so impressed with a dish! Fresh gnocci, slightly roasted on the outside and served with freshly grilled vegetables and a very, very good pesto. What a great combination of flavours! I wish I could eat it again!

Wonderful! - Edit
I went here with 3 friends, 1 a hardcore meat-eater. All of us loved the vegan Chutnej Burgers we had. The fries were totally legit, too -- very satisfying. And the Tiramisu was also incredibly satisfying. We also all loved the Kambucha, which was super flavorful. The service was wonderful, and the waiter was also way friendly -- always with a sincere smile.

I ordered the granola with yogurt bowl and a raspberry cruffin. My boyfriend ordered the pancakes. Everything was good. The yogurt was a bit bitter for my taste (maybe due to the dandelion honey), but my boyfriend liked it.

All vegan, good food (though slightly underwhelming) - Edit
I like that it's all vegan. They didn't have two items on the menu that I wanted to order though and the Schnitzel was a bit underwhelming (which doesn't mean that it's bad). Monte was pretty good.

Good ideas but execution can be a bit hit and miss - Edit
I've been going to Chutnej since they first opened as a pizza and burger place and love how they have evolved over the years. The krafin bakery is great and was a desperately needed addition to the Prague vegan scene. I like that they're trying to do more upmarket vegan food when no one else in Prague really is whilst still keeping the pizzas going via Hot Plants.
Read moreI've been to the most recent iteration of the restaurant a couple of times for weekend brunch and had specials. I haven't tried the new regular menu yet. The first time they had a mushroom skewer/kebab thing on with salad, flatbread and hummus. This was very good on the whole, especially when you got some charred bits on the mushrooms. My partner and I also got a plate of pancakes to share which were good. I went for brunch again this weekend and was disappointed. They had a goulash on and the sauce didn't pack a good flavour and the meat pieces were really small. I also got an apple strudel for dessert. This came out stone cold and the filling just felt like eating a raw cake. The pastry was soggy and it was served with a bit of warm custard. I don't understand why the custard was warm but the strudel was not. It was so bad that I didn't even finish it. The Brazilian lemonade was very tasty at least.
Service wasn't great today either, it was difficult to get anyone's attention and we had to go to the counter to order dessert.
I'll go back and definitely try more things and hope that they are more hit than miss.
