Great!! - Edit
I loved the food and service! I got the lemongrass chickn banh mi, bao and tapioca pudding. They gave a free egg roll while we waited😄I love that they give free food to the community on Sundays!

Great buffet - Edit
All you can eat vegan- what a treat. The food isn’t labeled so I’m not sure exactly what I ate but some of it was really good.

It was okay - Edit
My husband and I were so excited to try this place, but we were kind of disappointed overall. We both got the buffet . There were lots of choices on the buffet, but half of them weren't labeled and a lot of them were cold. There was one item I really liked, but couldn't tell you what it was due to the lack of labels. The food that was warm was pretty good. The atmosphere is not great it is like a storage room in the dining area. We were glad we tried it, but we wouldn't go back.

Got the all you can eat vegan buffet and holy moly this place is amazing. Super unique flavors and crazy plays on traditional Vietnamese food. New must stop in Seattle place.

banh mi - Edit
My favorite item there has to be the “roasted pork” (taro & tofu skin) banh mi. Though, everything there is amazing.

Huge variety of vegan Vietnamese food - Edit
I was surprised by the amount of items on the menu - from vegan eggrolls to banh mis to noodle dishes. I got the lemongrass "chicken" banh mi which was both inexpensive and very flavorful.

Excellent bahn mi - Edit
We’ve tried the buffet here as well as a few of the bahn mi. I personally liked the buffet, but nobody else I was with was impressed. 😅 The bahn mi, however, are unequivocally delicious. We’ve tried the spicy tofu, bbq duck and bbq pork and they’re all so good. We love the flavor and texture of tofu skin in the bbq duck, but the spicy tofu might be our favorite. We can’t wait to try more—there are 10 different kinds!

The banh mi sandwich was very good, as were the egg rolls. I would avoid the buffet, and the “okay” food saftey rating as well as the location threw me off.

Great Banh mi - Edit
I’ve always heard great reviews and finally made it in. They have great tofu, spring rolls, and banh mi. The bread was so soft and the meat was super flavorful. I was also happy to hear they do so much for the community by giving out free food.

Yes the neighborhood is “rough “ because they do not call the cops on unhoused people. They try to feed them and us so please eat here/get takeout and support good people.

Disappointing now - Edit
I'd been to ChuMinh about 5 years ago and really liked it. Food selection was good and the price was really reasonable. Neighborhood wasn't great and the inside conditions weren't great, but for the price, it worked. Now, the prices have increased so much I was shocked. I almost left without getting food even after driving far out of my way to get there. Neighborhood is still bad and inside condition is still not great, but their prices are as if they're in a fancy location in Bellevue. Food is good but I'll never go back with their current prices. Disappointing! Could be a good place.

All Vegan Vietnamese Buffet - Edit
My girlfriend and I tried this spot after having it on my radar for quite a while, but usually going with one of our other regular choices. We were in Seattle for a concert and were in between lunch/dinner time so a lot of our usual spots were closed. The front counter staff was friendly and helpful with explaining everything since it was our first time. We opted for the buffet, but given the time we were there I probably wouldn't do that again. Since we were the only customers, there wasn't any turnover on the food so some of it had been sitting for a while. The rice was dried out, but the rest of the food was delicious. I'm not sure what the one dish was, but it had a texture like fatty pork and looked like it contained jackfruit and was by far my favorite of everything. I should have asked the staff what it was supposed to be. That being said, we would definitely go back and try dishes off the menu. The prices were also completely reasonable for what you get.

Delicious and Wonderful owners - Edit
This spot is great, the food was tasty and as fresh as can be. Owners were so wonderful and even treated us to some delicious dessert. Brought the growing boy and was treated to a couple toys when we left. Total for 2 adults and 2 children split was around $40.00. Satisfied since we left oh so stuffed and had to take our leftovers home.

WOW everybody was right about how amazing this place is - Edit
We absolutely loved the sandwiches we got here! The location is a bit sketchy, and getting in and out of the parking lot was tricky because it was fenced off on most sides, so squeezing in and out with so many other cars was challenging, plus there were a lot of people on the sidewalks. Totally worth it for the amazing food, though! My photo does not do it justice. We got the BBQ pork sandwich and the sesame beef sandwich, and both were incredible. Great prices and amazing food. The people working there seemed nice and friendly.

Great sandwiches - Edit
Happened to be in this part of town and was looking for a new vegan spot to try. What a gem. We tried two different bahn mi variants (beef and pork), both were delicious. The deli meats they use were fantastic and unlike what I’ve had elsewhere. Also sampled the spring and summer rolls which were excellent. Staff was super friendly, and seemed like they were packing up free food for the community while we where there.

Banh Me! - Edit
I’ve seen ChuMinh Tofu go by several variations, with and without a space in the name, sometimes with a “vegan deli” or “veggie deli” attached, but they’re all the same place. The important part is that they serve 100% vegan Vietnamese food. I’m very rarely in the International District, so I never really had the opportunity to try it until relatively recently when I moved a lot closer, making swinging by to pick up a to-go order or ordering delivery way more convenient. Now that I have, I feel like I’ve been missing out.
Read moreI hadn’t had a lot of Vietnamese food before moving to Seattle but I fell in love with the “Bánh Mì” sandwich very quickly. I’ve had vegan takes on the Bánh Mì, both traditional and far from it, at quite a few places over the years, and while I’ve liked just about every single one of them, ChuMinh’s are certainly among the best in the city. The crispy baguette is perfect, the veggies are always fresh, and while the basic sandwich is more or less identical, they have something like 10 different variations available with different “meats.” These options are all quite unique, either being housemade or at least using uncommon brands of faux meat. Even their tofu isn’t quite like any I’ve had on a Bánh Mì anywhere else. While I’ve tried less than half of them, the BBQ Pork is probably my favorite so far. If I were rating them on their sandwiches alone, I'd give them 5 stars. As for the rest of the menu, the easiest way (and in many cases, the only way) to sample some of their more unusual dishes has to be their all-day buffet, which is easily the main draw for dining in, despite the no frills interior ambiance fitting the strip mall exterior of the restaurant, which, by the way, has its own parking. So far, everything I’ve tried was interesting and even some fairly basic staples (such as the pictured stir-fried rice noodles, fresh rolls, and spring rolls) were competent takes on classic recipes and pretty tasty. Prices are relatively good, and while portions aren’t ridiculously huge, I doubt you’d ever leave hungry. Definitely recommended!
A quick note for visitors from out of town: ChuMinh Tofu is located in a busy and often looked upon as “sketchy” area of Little Saigon as some other reviews have noted. Plan accordingly, and if this dissuades you, ChuMinh’s take-out and delivery game is strong.

Vegan Buffet - Edit
Hole in the wall and no frills kind of place. But those are often some of the best spots. We stuffed ourselves with the vegan buffet offered here. The buffet price is a little pricey, but it’s totally worth it to fill up your plate with everything. Plenty of great options on their main menu as well. My favorite is their banh mi sandwiches. The area is rough thanks to the homelessness crisis here in the city, but this business does commendable community outreach work to help feed the houseless.

Food was great, area is super sketchy and it was a really long wait - Edit
There were a ton of homeless and folks on drugs in the area. I had to wait for the sea of them to part to get my car in. I ordered and waited fifty minutes for my food. The food was all delicious and it was a decent sized order, but it’s hard to justify going back especially given the price.
