One of the few veg friendly places in Greenville - Edit
Okay, don't get me wrong. I like Christy's. Just be aware that Christy's isn't really a family place. It's more of a dive bar. It's a place to hang out with friends who are looking for good beers, good service, and some good food. I just wish it was a little better. It needs minor repairs, too many tvs for such a small place, and more vegan food choices! Please :) They'd be a superb if they opt for maybe a tempeh sandwich and had vegan mayo or vegan cheeses! Their vegetarian options can be made vegan. Most things they put butter on but are accomodating to use oil instead of butter. The food that I have eating there (which ranges from omni, vegetarian and vegan) has been good.
The service has always been wonderful and they are very friendly. Beer selection is great (and they allow you to try samples if you want). I just wish they'd add a few completely vegan meal options to their menu!
I love Christy's Europub. I really do. It's a great place to go with good beers. However, it's not very vegan friendly. They have maybe 3-4 vegetarian items on the menu. The only vegan thing you can get is a salad or veggie burger. There are not enough alternatives to warrant this being listed as "veg-friendly". Unless you just go for the beer.
Christy's is that place you go when you want to hang out with a bunch of people, meet new friends, and eat some pretty interesting bar food! DON'T bring your kids, and do have some beer or wine! Try their Veggie Pizza Pita. If you're not vegan, have them add goat cheese...Delicious!
I always leave Christy's wondering why I don't go there every week. It's a lot like an old 'Cheers' bar. It won't be long before everybody knows your name...!
