Amazing option in Playa Del Carmen - Edit
We ate here today and the food was incredible. We had waffles and avocado toast. Both were some of the best we’ve had. We also had matcha lattes and they were able to give us whatever plant milk we wanted!! I had oat and my bestie had soy. The vibes and atmosphere of the restaurant were incredible! We will definitely be back!

I’m not sure if this piece gives entirely different menus for each part of the day…I feel like they must. There were only 3 options listed as vegan on the breakfast menu: seasonal fruit, smoothie bowl, or vegan waffle. My husband asked if there potatoes that came as a part of his meal were vegan and the server said “yes” so I goes you can take your chances if you want to order a side of them. They weren’t labeled vegan on the menu. My waffle was tasty but I’m disappointed that it was my only choice if I didn’t want fruit.

Read a lot of bad feedback about this place here but decided to give a chance. I didn’t eat anything but the drinks were good. I took fresh orange juice and a fresh coconut. So they have fresh stuff it you’re raw. #Veganuary

Just came from breakfast. Coffee with almond milk. Freshly squeezed orange juice. Vegan waffle with caramelized banana berries and nuts. Vegan omelette with mushrooms and avocado. And a salad. All this for 238 pesos. All quite tasty.

One of my favorite cafes to goto. Their vegan burger is one of the best in town. My personal favorite. I also love their coffees and they have coconut milk.

We ate there twice for breakfast, the vegan waffle and vegano bowl are super yummy! They also have homemade vegan milk but it may happen that they run out of it.

I had the veggie burger.... I think the pattie was lentil and something else... it seemed deepfried... it was ok.... and they used avocado cream as the ‘mayonnaise’ which I loved... bread was a wholesome type....I asked several times if the burger was vegan.....and they assured me yes....however the burger came with a side of chipotle mayonnaise cream.....which shows how careless non vegan restaurants are.....very irritating....I’ll stick to vegan restaurants

Lo primero que me gustó de Chou Chou Café es su interior. Un techo muy alto, una cristalera a un lateral y muchas plantas. Por fuera madera, me quiso recordar a un café de Nueva Orleans.
Read moreSobre la carta hay muchos platos marcados como veganos en todos los apartados. Algunos me hicieron dudar por que no están del todo bien señalizados, por eso me fui directa a por los pancakes, los cuáles dicen ser que son su especialidad. Y cumplen con las expectativas. Eran finitos y esponjosos, lo único que me falto fue chocolate en vez de mermelada ( que también estaba muy buena). La nata montada quiero seguir pensando que es vegana porque así lo dicen pero sabe tan "normal" que nadie pudiera decir que es 100% vegetal.
Los precios no son muy caros, creo que eran 70 pesos los pancakes. Al ver como era el local y la zona donde está pensé que iba a ser mucho más caro.
Definitivamente volveré a seguir desayunando cuando esté temprano por Playa!!
