Serves meat, vegan options available. A low-scale Asian fusion restaurant and sushi bar in downtown offering Thai curries and dishes, Chinese and Japanese food, and even sandwiches. The menu states that you have a choice of "meat" with your entree, which you could ask for tofu. Nothing is veg specific but you could ask.

eat here!

the best place for vegan food in winchester. they know what vegan is and will help accommodate anything on the menu to be vegan usually by subbing tofu or swapping the sauce. they’re always super nice too and it’s the coziest place to eat in winc.

Yum!

So glad we found this place! Unassuming but cozy. And ALL entrees can be made with just veggies. The Massaman Curry with veggies was sooo delicious!

Chopstick cafe love!

Driving through the area and found this place on H.C. So happy we did.
Bunch of appetizers labeled vegetarian. We asked the waitress and she came over with a comprehensive list of vegan options. At least a third menu is adaptable. Curry puffs were banging. Cashew stir fry was awesome. Tofu vegetable soup has crisp clean flavors. Overall great.

Pros: Knowledgeable staff that can adapt menu, Curry puffs!, Great spice options

Good but limited

I had the edamame appetizer and the tofu soup. Both were good. If vegan that is nearly the limit to their menu. If vegetarian you have a few more options. BUT stay AWAY from anything deep fried. ALL deep fried foods are cooked in the same oil. That includes the tofu, the chicken the fish etc.
but the bowl of soup was filling. I did have to add the extra chilies.

Pros: Prices are really reasonable

Cons: All deep fried dishes are cooked in the same oil

The best asian

My very favorite Asian restaurant in this part of Virginia. Everything is made to order and all the veggies are fresh. There are a fair amount of delicious vegan options my favs are the steam vegetable dumplings and the different sushi rolls. Even a black sticky rice dessert with mango

Pros: Good assortment of vegan foods , Everything is fresh , Options of 1-10 on the spice scsle

Delicious!

Cute atmosphere, great service, very good food. Plenty of vegan options with veggies or tofu. Brown rice option in addition to white. One caution- they offer a spice level from 0 to 10 on all dishes, and we found the 4 and 5 to be more of a 6 and 7- but that’s all very subjective.

Pros: Very yummy , Great service , Offered brown rice

Good food

Cute restaurant. Friendly staff. They had a few tofu dishes on the specials menu or you could have them substitute any meat dish with tofu.
I had the tofu delight.

Very good, great service, very accomadating to vegans

Nice interior. lacking in parking next to resturant however there is a parking garage close by. Good prices $30 total for 2 people plus appitizer. Nice wait staff to the point where they willtry to accommodate the dish to make it vegan, including taking out fish sauce. The tofu is really good, fried tofu appitizer is a must,(if you can eat peanuts).

Pros: Tell them you are vegan and they can veganize anyt

Cons: loud , very popular so there might be a wait

Disappointing

Chopstick Cafe has a lot of potential. I've visited twice, but I probably wouldn't visit again.

1. The atmosphere is awful. The place is kind of dilapidated inside, the tables are all crooked, the chairs are uncomfortable, the seating arrangements are cramped. The servers, however, are very helpful and attentive.

2. The menu is clearly labeled (GF, spicy), and you can replace any meat in an entree with tofu-- just say so! :) They also give you a scale (I think 1-10) for the spiciness level you want, which is helpful, but I ordered a 4 for my curries, and that same 4 for drunken noodles was inedibly spicy.

3. The spring rolls are good, but not great. They're pretty oily.

4. The sushi is good, and they actually provide a good amount of wasabi (whereas most places don't provide nearly enough for my wasabi-loving hubby and me). We've had the cucumber, avocado, and veggie rolls, and they were all good.

5. The panang curry is good, but a little heavy on the coconut and light on the peanuts. Likewise, the green curry is decent, but heavy on the coconut and light on the curry. The drunken noodles were so spicy that I couldn't eat my meal.

If the food were cheaper, I'd visit again, but they charge the same prices as much nicer restaurants in the area charge. The food and atmosphere are cheap takeout quality with sit-down prices.
