Hidden Gem - Edit
This place is well worth the trip, where ever you may come from. I have had take away from here and also eaten in on one occasion. I am ashamed of myself for not making more of an effort to visit more often. You’ll rarely find such a sweet host who makes you feel extremely welcome.
Read moreThe food is outstanding. I had a mock mixed meat dish. Unfortunately as good as all the mock meats were, they were out done by the mock fish. Never have I tasted anything so believable since going vegan.

We visited on Sunday evening and had the Siu Mai, Special XO Sauce Fried Rice, Taro on Toast and Singapore Noodles.
Read moreEach and every single dish we had was fresh and flavoursome. You could really tell that the owners are very proud of the food they make and serve and you could taste this in every bite. If we were local, we would definitely be regulars here.
If you live nearby, please do support this business, whether by getting take-aways or eating in. We were the only people there on Sunday at 6:30pm and whilst a few people got food to take away, it was not busy. It would be a shame if this lovely place had to close.

Literally everything on the menu is incredible. We are always made to feel so welcome, it's just a lovely experience going here, beautiful decor and a friendly hostess. The mock meats are really good (even according to my fella who eats meat).

What a special place. Really can’t recommend enough!! We had such a lovely evening. Ordered the set menu, everything was totally outstanding! Such gorgeous food, all of it. Can’t wait to go back. The owner is just so lovely and was amazing with our little boy, lovely her grandkids were there and they played together was so cute. Really was perfect meal.

You have to try Choi Gan! - Edit
This is my favourite Chinese restaurant in the UK and it's not only the homemade mock meats that set it apart. There's clearly attention to detail with all of the dishes as we've been seven or eight times now and not had a single average dish. The flavours are fantastic across the board. We are working our way through the menu as we want to try it all! Having moved from Manchester we were worried that we would be limited for vegan Chinese options in the Ribble Valley but this blows all of the city restaurants out of the water (to our surprise). I take all of my non-vegan friends along with me when I can and I've not had a single one of them say it wasn't great, even if they've avoided the mock meats and just gone for the vegetables, though most have gone for the mock meat. The owner is also incredibly lovely!

You can be assured that you will have a delicious meal here and so many different options to choose from with the freedom to be adventurous because you know it’s gonna be great.
We sometimes eat in or sometimes takeaway and both are always the same quality. Also I love the atmosphere inside, a really cute little cosy place to eat in. Try this place if you can! A heaven for vegans and for meat eaters too.

I recently dined at Choi Gan and had a wonderful experience. I had the pleasure of eating the most delicious food and recommended this fantastic restaurant to all!
Read moreThe menu offered a wide variety of food, with most of it being vegan. The food was well presented, generously sized, and arrived promptly after ordering. Some of the standouts that my table ordered was the flavourful Orange Chicken and the Munchie Platter; a selection of delicious treats, with the Taro on Toast receiving the most compliments. The meal ended with two custard bao buns – heavenly!
Throughout the meal, the owner checked on us and even served our meal, which was a considerate touch and created a delightful dining experience.
I highly recommend dining in, or ordering from, Choi Gan. I cannot wait to go back for more.

The food is delicious! A wide range of mock meats or can just have veg if that's more your thing. Special mention for the crispy chilli mock beef and satay mock chicken, phenomenal! They even had a mock fish which is tasty and so realistic. Even our meat eating friends say this is one of the best Chinese takeaways around. You can also sit in the restaurant! The lady serving is so friendly. 100% recommend to everyone!

So thankful to find this place around 40 mins from where we live. It was such a joy to have so many options.
Read moreWe went for the salt and pepper tray and the mock duck pancakes - both delicious. We particularly loved the salt and pepper chips and the pancakes and would definitely order again. The mock fish in the salt and pepper box was so realistic!
The owners were absolutely lovely and we had a good chat waiting for our food to be made.

There are so many vegan options to choose from, you’re really spoilt for choice! I really wanted to love this place after reading all the reviews but we just didn’t. Service was so slow, no menus when we first sat down, it took an hour to receive our starters and a further hour to receive our main. We were here for nearly three hours and most of that time was waiting! We were given someone else’s order for our starters and they had run out of some options that we were not told about until after they brought our food.

I feel that calling this a restaurant is doing a dis-service. Everything about this place is done with love, from the service through to the fresh, frangrant food. It feels like you are dining with family and friends. The spices and tastes are sublime and there is a genuine care in hero-ing the humble vegetable or plant based alternative. It’s always a joy to be ablenyo chose anything from a menu and experiment and this was a real winner (along with the love amd great prices. No doubts that we will be back again and again - thank you 🌱🪷🇨🇳

Lovely vegan friendly spot - Edit
As vegans it's sometimes too difficult to get a Chinese takeaway and be 100% certain everything is vegan and free from contamination but here you can! We ate in today as their restaurant is open. It has the largest amount of vegan choice you'll ever find, lovely service and great quality food. Nice to eat in but a shame they don't deliver to nearby areas! Will definitely be returning.

I've lived in Manchester for years so I'm quite blessed with options, especially with Ruyi and Lotus in South Manchester. Coming out here and finding an all veggie equivalent is incredible, when the food tastes as good (if not better) and is cheaper.

One of the best Chinese restaurants we've eaten from; the food is fantastic. It's freshly prepared and cooked and isn't greasy or over garlicky. It tastes light and flavoursome and there's plenty of it. We've even been given complimentary bean curd balls which were delicious. The people are friendly and are keen to make a success of their commitment into vegetarian cooking. They need lots of support. I would wholly recommend this restaurant to anyone - not just vegetarians but meat eaters alike. You won't be disappointed.

Had an absolutely amazing takeaway from Choi Gan tonight...also had a lovely chat with the owner whilst waiting for my food. The food was incredibly tasty and nice and fresh and light compared to a lot of Chinese takeaways. The owner gave me some of the deep fried tofu balls to try and they were AMAZING. We will definitely be back. Great to see an interesting Chinese menu (that’s not just chow mein or sweet and sour!) and decent vegan options in the Ribble Valley. Would love to see more environmentally friendly takeaway boxes than polystyrene...but other than that we couldn’t fault it at all.
