A weekly favorite

This is our go-to restaurant for taking non-vegan/vegetarian friends out to eat when they visit Memphis. It's on Madison in Midtown and personifies the "Midtown is Memphis" theme. They describe their fare as Mexican-American street food. Their lunch/dinner menu consists of about 10 different tacos, one of which (Chubby Vegetarian) is vegan (without the aioli) and amazing. Think fried avocado, candied lime, cilantro, etc. on a corn (or flour) tortilla. Our non-veg friends love the shrimp tacos and brisket tacos. They also have delicious hot dogs. The Bianca Dog (named after fabulous Memphis vegan blogger Bianca Phillips) we probably eat once a week. It's a spicy mexican chipotle vegan hot dog with a mustard slaw and black beans on a local bakery bun. The guacamole is expensive BUT WORTH IT. And the beer selection is pretty great. PBRs for only $2! And lots of local Memphis craft brew options on tap. The outdoor seating patio is amazing during the spring/summer/fall and they often show movies or sports on the 30 ft outdoor screen. They also have a brunch menu, but we've never had brunch there. Service isn't spectacular, but no one's ever been mean either.
Basically, we love the place.

Pros: delicious vegan options, awesome patio/deck seating, local craft beer

Cons: small indoor seating space?
