Vegan items need more clarity

Given the positive reviews on here, we must have visited on an off night.

One of our starters (tofu) didn’t arrive, our main was mixed with that of another table, and the options to veganise the vegetarian menu were vague and did not reassure.

To top it all, the tofu curry was bland and included only carrots and onions.

They’ve clearly put a lot of effort into creating a veggie menu but missed the mark - at least with me - on taking it up a notch to vegan.

Pros: Lots of veggie options, Pleasant environment

Cons: Lack of clarity about vegan options, Time to be served, plus mix ups with food

Chinese mushrooms are great

The vegetarian/vegan menu had to be asked for separately. In addition, the menu was a little difficult to understand. The waiter helped with the order. I chose bamboo and Chinese mushrooms with tofu. Tasted good.

a perfectly nourishing and acceptable vegan chinese place in the heart of Torremolinos

The menu offers a number of options, to include mock "duck" and other analogues. The rice was really good; perfectly steamed, a generous portion. I wasn't that crazy about the sweet-and-sour sauce but the onions and bell peppers were crunchy, fresh, not overdone, thank heavens. Pleasant and cordial wait staff, even when slammed with people. For those of you who are as into water as I am, this plcae gives you good stuff. All told it was like 12,10 EUR. They have a free home delivery service I will be using; I really want to try their other dishes and see if the sauces are a little bit more savoury, and I also intend to try their fried rice. Ask for "la carta vegetal" if you want them to bring you a green laminated menu with the options for the likes of us. The decor is typical cheaper Chinese joint territory, not too shabby. Will return.

Pros: they don't overcook their freaking vegetables!, crisp, clear mineral h20 awaits you, not tap water, central location and free delivery service.

Cons: the sweet and sour sauce was a tad bland, there could have been more VEGGIES on my plate

Great delicious options for vegans

They have a separate menu for vegans, where you can choose from veggies or different meat substitutes like chicken, duck and prawns. They also have gluten-free options.
The service is really nice, they talk good English.

Cons: You have to like Asian food

Separate Vegan Menu

We found this place easily enough, a very short walk from Torremolinos train station. Vegan food is hard to find in the resort so this turned out to a very pleasant surprise.
The restaurant has a separate vegetarian/vegan menu and although it was difficult at first to get the waiter to understand our order, we eventually ordered some really delicious food. The starter was labelled ‘ants climbing a tree’ which turned out to be soya/seitan pieces with crispy noodles wrapped in a lettuce leaf. The mains were a hot chilli mock duck and a Thai style mock prawn dish, both of them were well cooked and very tasty. At the end of our meal the elderly owner came out to say hello and ask if we enjoyed his food as he had followed a vegan diet for many years. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the food. Would most definitely eat there again

Pros: Separate vegan menu

Lots of Chinese vegan dishes

Chinese restaurant with a wide range of vegan choices. Don't forget to request the vegetarian menu, since all the vegan/vegetarian dishes are listed apart. They have a very inexpensive veg*an menu of the day at lunchs, even on weekends. For 8,50€ (so as early April 2018) you get a starter, rice/noodles + main course, drinks not included. Except for the dishes where egg is listed as an ingredient, the rest is vegan. They cook tofu and seitan-based mock-meats in many different ways and with the sauce of your choice, so yes, there's a lot to choose from for vegans. The only con is food was a bit too oily for me.

Pros: wide range of vegan options, unexpensive menu of the day, big servings

Cons: food was a bit too oily
