Loved this place! - Edit
Friendly staff, helpful and knowledgeable about vegan/veggie options. I was pleasantly surprised about the number of vegetarian options - flick to the last two pages for this section, as well as two vegetarian dumplings options (egg and chive, eggplant).
Read moreWe had three dishes to share between two and the food came super quickly, was a perfect amount. We had Xinjiang noodles (vegan), to which we added a lot of soy sauce and chili oil, the special braised eggplant (incredible!! Pls order this!!), and the egg chive dumplings, pan fried, which were good but not mind blowing. There was also free tea and cups for any BYO.
Overall definitely recommend this place!!

Delicious!! - Edit
My friends and I were pleasantly surprised to find this place when we were disappointed in another popular veg place nearby was closed. Everything tasted so good. My favourite was the vegan fried rice and eggplant dish. The eggplant dumplings were good but the casing a bit hard. The greens with mushrooms were delicious but only had 2 tiny pieces of mushrooms and we asked for no garlic but because the waiter barely spoke English, it came out with HEAPS of garlic. (my friend has a bit of an intolerance) we still highly recommend this place.

Have been here a couple of times now. The eggplant dumplings are delicious; they are actually quite sweet and almost dessert-like. I like them panfried rather than steamed. We also enjoyed the salt and pepper tofu and the green beans.

Ok - Edit
Came here twice in one day only because after Vivid there was no time to get to Newtown before everything closed.
Read moreThe eggplant, potato, and capsicum stirfry wasn't as good as I remember it being. It was still nicely crisp, and garlicky, but there were only 3 small potato pieces in the whole dish.
When we came back we got the handmade noodles (they had run out of the fried knife sliced noodle) which were okayyy, nothing exciting or worth getting again. It was super annoying that the vegan noodles are the same price as the ones containing animals, and that you have to pay an extra $3 or $4 to add tofu.

Terrible - Edit
The service was friendly so I kind of felt bad for them for how bad the food was. We ordered fried noodles and the noodles were really floury and oily and the veggies were mostly onion and small bits of carrot. Forgot to take a picture but was really disappointing.

5 Was ok at best. - Edit
I tried the eggplant dumplings, but they were sweet. I didn’t enjoy them and I absolutely love eggplant. The hand pulled noodles were tasty though. The service was ok. I won’t go back there though.

Nothing crazy exceptional but the food is great. Bit of a wait but I can see why. Mapo tofu was my fave, and their eggplant is a must.

Disappointing - Edit
Disappointing. A large menu, a few things are probably vegan but staff found it difficult to understand what I was asking. I had the noodles with vegetables, which was not great, the veggies were mostly carrots and celery and the sauce was not great. The eggplant dumplings were ok. My brother had the seafood noodles, which wasn’t great either.

I've only had the eggplant dumplings here and that's enough! They are so yum. Lucky I work down the road so when the craving hits it gets satisfied.

3.5 Stars. Good food but limited options - Edit
3 or 4 dishes can be made vegan. They are excellent (especially the fried chilli eggplant) but I’d love to see more options.
