Solid food, extensive menu - Edit
China Pan was highly recommended by a friend. The vegetarian section was large and I struggled to decide what to get! The spare ribs were great, but the general tso's bean curd could have had more flavor. Crispy, fried, everything I want from Chinese takeout. Would go more often if I lived nearby.

Can't believe it's Vegan! - Edit
While traveling to Hartford we tried out China Pan and we are so glad we did! The server was so sweet and the food was amazing! Loved the fried dumplings and the BBQ Vegan boneless ribs were better than the real thing. We wish the restaurant was near us!

One of the first in the area... - Edit
I've been going here for almost 2 decades, since the last owners, and the vegan menu has been there as long as I can remember...long before most people in the area even new what "vegan" meant. The food is always excellent, the only drawback being that it's so good, it's easy to stuff yourself silly with the large portions. The vegan BBQ Ribs and the Vegan Moo Shu are my favorites. As for the restaurant itself, it could use a revamping...it's cozy but worn. This is the only reason why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. Nevertheless, the worn interior can easily be overlooked because the vegan options are so good.

Great vegan Chinese food!! - Edit
I have only ordered takeout from China Pan but wow! I couldn't believe the mock meats selection and vegan options. I splurged and tried the vegan shrimp and general Tso's chick'n. The portions were so big I had leftovers. The wait was about 40 minutes, but the driver was prompt and communication was excellent! Would definitely try other items on the menu.

Cons: Can be pricey , Hard to find an online menu

perfection - Edit
I've been vegan for a little over a year now and until I tried China Pan, I hadn't eaten Chinese food. I am so happy I found this place. I've been there 3 or 4 times now and I love it. I usually get the vegan chicken and broccoli which tastes just like the real thing. Their vegan spring rolls are absolutely scrumptious. They are so fast and friendly. I will go back all the time and you should too!

five stars - Edit
There is a newer Chinese restaurant in WeHa which got its recipes from China Pan, therefore China Pan deserves more of its old business back. It has an enormous vegetarian menu!

The Best! - Edit
I've been going here for years. In my opinion it's the best in the area. They have a huge vegan menu with any mock meat you can imagine. My favorite is the vegan tangerine beef. For sushi, the green river roll rocks! I give this five cows even though this site only let's me give four.

This is a gem! We had the vegan general tso's chicken, broccoli in garlic sauce and vegan citrus spare ribs--all were DELICIOUS! Service was extremely friendly and quick. We can't wait to go back and we live one hour away! Right next to TJMaxx and Petco.

Unbelievable! - Edit
My husband was coming home from a day in CT and said he was bringing Chinese food. I was like, but we have two vegan Chinese places here, why bother? He said, This isn't like that. And it wasn't. The General Tsao Chicken is just beyond belief, it's so great. (He brought two!) Twice Cooked Beef? I haven't had it in years, and this made me remember why we loved it our meat-eating days. Everything was awesome in spite of being two hours old when we ate it.

New owner!! New look!!! Same great menu!!! - Edit
China Pan just switched owners and they have made a few changes at least to the look of the restaurant, but the same great menu is there. There's a flat screen tv on the back wall for karoke anytime and new updated light fixtures. The new owners is super nice, he even gave our group free drinks when he found out we were regulars there! A few new waiters, but the two best - Jay and Sing, are still there. Get to know them, they're friendly and fun! Try the tossed cucumber and the Veg wonton with noodles soup as apps. For dinner I recommend Vegan Pheasant, General Tsao's Veg Chicken, or even the sizzling tofu and veggie dish. Hopefully the new owner will add some new dishes to the menu. Enjoy!

Cons: Wish there was one East of the River
