Meh - Edit
This was kinda disappointing. I had 2305 Vegan GongBao, and it wasn't very good. Too much MSG and the vegan meat was soggy and did not have the right consistency. I also felt that the prices were a bit high. The employees weren't especially nice either. I also felt really sorry for the carp in the tank/pool in the middle of the restaurant. Overall, would not return.

Vegan options, but overpriced and not tasty. - Edit
I felt like this place had a lot of potential having a good selection of vegan options, ignoring the amount of carp in a small tank which I couldn’t help but feel sorry for. The food wasn’t actually that nice, I had the vegan chicken noodles which were really oily and tasted like gravy, my partner had sweet and sour chicken, which had more flavour, but didn’t come close to the typical Chinese we have in England. 1 star because of the lack of taste & poor situation for the fish.

Wide range of vegan dishes! - Edit
Probably the biggest vegan menu of all the restaurants in Bergen. I love the noodle mock chicken dish. Great service and kind staff. Amazing atmosphere in the restaurant and of you sit by the window you get a nice view of Bergen :)

Chinese food (?) In Bergen city - Edit
Large portions and many vegan options at this restaurant in the middle of Bergen city centre ! ( although not photographed, the dishes are accompanied with rice ) The authenticity of the food, I am not qualified to speak of, but the dish I found to be good.

Overwhelming, greasy, salty, boring - Edit
If you generally love this genre of food even in its most basic and unpretentious form, perhaps give China Palace a try. But I myself found that this was not worth the time or money spent. I got some anonymous super greasy seitan veg rice thing which had no specific taste to it apart from umami and salt...

I think they have very good vegan food. They have the widest vegan menu of all the Chinese restaurants in Bergen. Recommended!

Spicy Soup! - Edit
It's been months since I've had it, but I still find myself regularly longing for their vegan tofu Sichuan soup. It's quite spicy! And perfect for a cold, rainy Bergen day. I really like the atmosphere in the restaurant as well.

Not very good - Edit
I went to China Palace with high hopes. I wanted to have a soup, but they said it was only an appetizer and implied there was a minimum charge per customer. I ordered the mock chicken and noodles instead. It wasn’t as good as I am accustomed to on the west coast of Canada. The mock chicken was just pieces of soy compound and the noodles had very little flavour.

sweet waitress, but the food was so gross :(( - Edit
The atmosphere was weird, the massage chair was the highlight, the mock chicken was spongey and tasted like feet. Fast service, but we still couldn't get out quick enough :((
