Beautiful Peruvian food - Edit
This is the first time I’d tried Peruvian food and was delicious - truly amazing. The menu could be clearer regarding the vegan options, but like all restaurants I ate at in Costa Rica, the staff were extremely helpful and attentive when asked about it.

Family Owned Peruvian Restaurant in the Middle of Tourist Central - Edit
The middle of La Fortuna is a center for tourists. This means you walk through a sudden flourish of pizza and sushi but tucked in is a cute Peruvian restaurant. The food took a little while but the rice was delicious. The service was good, our waiter very aware of what vegan was.

You need to go here! The food is filling, and there's an entire page on the menu dedicated to vegan options. Everything is labeled so well, it even shows on the menu when egg is in a dish. The app doesn't let me give 5 stars but they deserve it. The service is the best out of all the restaurants I've tried in the area, and the owner cares a lot about making great vegan food. I got the Tofu Saltado and Kam lu Wantan, both were delicious. The sauces they use here are so great. The prices are low. The inside of the restaurant is very beautiful too.

I went here because I saw the pictures of the amazing wontons here but when I asked they to me it has egg in it so it isn't vegan which was very disappointing because it was the reason I came here and the other dishes were not so appealing to me.Nethertheless I ordered the Tofu dish. It was a bit too sweet for my taste but it was definitely interesting and large as well as not too expensive. The reason I am giving only 3 stars is that the whole time the place had a strong smell of gas and it was really hard to stand. If I knew it in advance I would have left directly. Hope it was just a one time thing.

We had two dishes - Tacu Tacu and Plancha -, both portions were gigantic, both with lot (and I mean A LOT) of sauce making it bit hard to taste the other ingredients as yucca and plantains. We got bowl of rice gratis, which helped with the sauce. Overall good experience!

Made a reservation with 6 of my friends and my oh my we had a great time here. First off the owner is so kind and fantastic and gave me all vegan ideas/recs. They also have pisco sours and made mine without egg whites! I got the wonton appetizer and the tofu salad and I was SO FULL. Definitely go here
