Aji amarillo peruano es riquisimo! - Edit
I went here by myself as the rest of my group was going somewhere I didn’t fancy, and it was a great decision. Friendly people and some cool cartoony art on the walls. I chose tofu and veg, which had a Peruvian aji amarillo flavour which I’d not had before but really made the dish. It came with rice and potatoes.

The food was really delicious! There were 3 or 4 vegan options (the Wan tans are not vegan as the batter contains eggs). We had the yuca fries with quinoa for starter and then the tofu saltado and both were delicious, especially the yuca fries. The service is very slow but pura vida, come with time and relax! 🤗

I don't understand the raving reviews here. The dishes looked nice, but taste wasn't great. It was a mix of standard sweet sauce (with a little sour) and standard soy sauce. They used a lot of it, so dishes were mainly very sweet and very salty. It didn't come close to the Peruvian dishes with more different flavours.

A small, family owned Peruvian fusion restaurant with a well labelled vegan / veggie menu. Very welcoming staff and the staff member who served us knowledgeable about vegan diet & what dishes are suitable. The tofu saltado was delicious! Highly recommend!

We ordered the Causa Vegetariana and they immediately asked if we were OK with the mayo...so we requested no mayo (vegan version) and it was still so creamy and good bcz the potatoes are blended to a creamy consistency. We also had the Tofu Saltado that was on the vegetarian menu. It is a sweet and sour sauce, which I usually don't like, but this was nice a subtle. 4 stars for a nice selection of vegetarian and vegan items and for staff offering the option to make something vegan.

We ate dinner here both the nights we were in town, the food was that good. The vegan options are clearly marked, and the owner is very helpful with helping you to choose. The food is so flavourful, you really have to come here to appreciate how good it is. There's a nice ambiance and you can see the open kitchen when the food is being prepared - always a good sign!

The food here was fantastic! Tons of vegan options and everything is super fresh and perfectly seasoned. Some really unique dishes too that I've never encountered elsewhere. Definitely the culinary highlight of La Fortuna, don't miss it! We loved the artwork on the walls, too!

I don’t know why HappyCow won’t let me give this place 5 stars, because it was legitimately some of the best food my sister and I have had in our lives. The family who runs it is so sweet, and the vegan options are OUT OF THIS WORLD. I cannot oversell this place- we went two night in a row and brought our friends from the hostel and they all agreed - vegan or not, it’s incredible food. I wish they would move to my city, it’s honestly that good.

I wished I could rate this place 5 stars as the food really was superb with incredible smoky and fruity flavours. It was like an explosion of different aromas, so do not miss to grab some food at this place when you are in La Fortuna. The owner is incredibly friendly, helpful, knows a lot about foods and health benefits and above all has a great world view and inclusive approach.

We came here for our Valentines Day dinner on our vacation and would go back so fast!!!! The owner came to greet us and explained everything that could be vegan, which is a lot!!! The food was sooooo fresh and flavorful. I've never had true Peruvian food, just items typically used. I am now a massive fan!!!! I love supporting small family businesses. I highly recommend this place!!!!!
