An amazing place - Edit
It was just beautiful, the atmosphere was very cosy and the service super friendly, he explained each tea served. Each course had a vegan option, so it was very easy for us. If you have the chance, make a reservation and visit this lovely place.

Beautiful Food - Edit
Have been here a few times as a special treat. All in all a lovely experience. Beautifully presented, carefully made, delicate and delicious food, not your usual basic veggie/vegan fare. Calming, pleasant atmosphere in a small restaurant setting. Curated tea selection to compliment each course. Warm and kindly host. On an island with limited vegan options, a restaurant without the presence and smell of meat is a pleasant rarity. Give them your support!

The best restaurant on Skye! - Edit
Chidakasha is a Sanskrit name and means: chid (consciousness) and akash (space).
Read moreThey cook with local organic products, most herbs are picked in the morning in their own garden, as are the flowers and vegetables.
The small and very attractive restaurant has an open kitchen with pickled vegetables in jars on the shelves.
Chidakasha also means place of peace, that feeling prevailed here.
The dishes were very tasty, this was a super healthy and tasty meal that was also beautifully presented.
Almost completely plant-based, one of the dishes contained dairy, but they adjusted this, after all, everything is freshly made.
Alcohol is not available, but they do offer a very nice tea arrangement.
On our next visit to Skye we will return here, one of the best culinary experiences while traveling... and not expensive at all!
Edit May 2024: We had another delicious meal in this great restaurant.
Another tasty menu! Two desserts are not vegan, the rest of the menu is vegan. Instead of the Chidakasha butter, they provide a spicy olive oil with the bread for vegans.
We took the 'South Indian butternut squash, tamarind and coconut Soup'; 'Croft kale sprout with roasted new potato, butterbean hummus, mizuna tapenade & toasted hemp seed'; 'Baked zucchini with chickpea & eggplant stew, pickled fennel, spiced quinoa and Armenian onion bread';
And for dessert 'Raw cashew, pear & potted strawberry tart with lemon verbena sorbet'.
Always surprising tasty dishes here, the fact that it is always full in such a remote corner of Skye says it all.

Probably the best meal I’ve had. - Edit
Located in the wilds of Glendale, I found this beautiful place provided a tranquil dining experience with exquisite food, lovingly prepared. It’s small, seating 14 max. There were 2 starters, both vegan, one main(vegan) and three dessert options, one vegan. Each course served with a different tea- unusual and unique. Food sourced from the garden where possible.
Read moreThe ambience was perfectly suited to the dining experience and made savouring every mouthful the only thing to do. Really relaxing and gorgeous.
Pros: Unique dining experience , Beautiful food

Beautiful and odd - Edit
A lovely three course meal in a magical setting. The pairing with the teas were really nice. The chef was sooo good. Local riches to the food and a care given that is hard to come by.

Great meal, fab concept - Edit
Lovely dinner, with a pretty much fixed menu (choice of two starters and two desserts), paired with interesting and rare teas. Food was beautiful, both in taste and to look at.

Hidden gem - Edit
In the end of a shaggy road in the middle of the fields is this cozy teahouse with a pretty garden. They serve fusion style food with a lot of herbs, flowers and fresh ingredients. Try the tea pairing as well. Food was delicious with a reasonable price. Make a reservation beforehand.

Gorgeous fresh and hearty home made food - Edit
We arrived for lunch and had a beautiful hearty vegan Dahl and beetroot bulger wheat salad. It was all seasonal, flavoursome and fresh. The owner whipped is up some chocolate ganache tarts too. We loved our trip here and washed everything down with a flavoursome tea from the extensive menu. Without a doubt the best food on the island!

We had the soup and the lunch plate, both vegan and were really delicious. Unfortunately, the vegan cake was finished by then, so couldn't try it.

Very tasty and vegan friendly - Edit
The staff is extremely nice and the place has a very relaxing feel to it. Most options on the menu are vegan (and clearly marked as such!) and the cakes as well as the lunch options were delicious. There's a huge selection of tea to chose from as well. Highly recommend!
